my favorite part is in the end when you take the engine off and derail a few, then start to rerail them...then boom the next train rail's the one your working on. Neat layout man keep up the good work.
Wow, there were several close calls, bit at 7:18 you were lucky to pull that one engine off the track to prevent a crash. Smart move. I was all like at 7:16-18, "Hey, hey, HEY!!!"
I put a lot of long hours in to build this layout and make it run like it does it was old school dc block control and it was fun at the time the layout is now gone and I am building a huge HO layout will upload a video soon
well I am selling cause i want others to enjoy my work but i am doing more to the layout so the price will go up I will be uploading new pictures and videos soon so look for them in the next week or so and thanks for lookin ...I have 3 years invested in this layout so far and i will be doing alot of the wiring and scenery this summer ..but its still a blast to run this ....
Dude this is a nice start. I have a n scale layout. I hate when perfect people hate on those trying to enjoy and have fun your doing a great job. I guess they are so misrable that they are so perfect and never have problems with there trains.Even in real life they have issues on the railroad. I run dcc on my layout and love it and have seen alot of layouts even with perfect people that have crashed trains. Keep up the progress.
Bang... it would just be a matter of timing them all and setting the right speed so they all miss each other.. N scale is too small for me but I would love to see the layout in full to see what it looks like as we can't see the right side of the layout.. but good fun.. a bit like the smash up cars with the caravans on the figure 8's they do at the speedways.... great stuff..
jeez... 2 mainline crossing 3 mainlines!? That's insane! Funny, only in America I see allot of those dead crossings, which also have 2 vs 2 mainlines crossing. Feels like asking for troubles. In European railroads it's a big no-no to cross mainlines like this.
@Majorbud yeah that rail works is a ton of cash also when u buty all the add ons i saw it i have the tranz sim its cool as well does that game have working factories like trainz
Definitely a bad day for this railroad... forgot about the other train? Did any of the train crews or dispatcher get p tested? all kidding aside, this looks like it'll be a great and fun layout to operate
Is that N or HO can't really tell from half way across the world :P I'd also venture to say SD-40's are your favorite. Hah have to one day try a video game called Railworks. best train game i've ever played Hands down no contest.
@morrocyclon thanks yeah its a blast to run and fun to build it is awesome to see how its all coming together week after week and when i look back at no tunnels its just amazing at what a few bucks and some time can do ...most of it was all bought from e bay at a great savings campared to the hobby shop
Very cool looking layout. I havent played with trains since I was a kid, Im 25 now and have been debating getting back into the hobby. I have always been fascinated by them. I had HO as a kid but am debating going to N for space constraints. This layout looks like what I would want, lots of action and interaction. Keep it up, im going to check out your other videos.
i use a prodigy advanced and express they work great for me. As far as Decoders it depends omn the engine and if i am adding operational flashing ditch lights and a roof beacon to them. I get stuff off ebaty also as where i am the closest store is 30 miles away and they suck for DCC stuff and never have N scale dcc has to be special ordered and i can do that and save money from there mark up and gas. I do alot of self design and work also because of that.
your train is running way to fast :) perhaps slightly slower you should be able to avoid another big disaster. but i really like your track design... superb!
that was the worst crash ever...........but i like the trains wish i had more im only 11 and i have 2....nice layout too itll be better with some houses and a station
I'm sorry to say this, but it's just like the real thing. Drivers not paying attention. But when you have that many trains to control, you did well for the time that there were no collisions. WELL DONE.
@lilbigmorgan wow thats awesome that you saw that ur the only one to point that out which i was hoping everyone would comment on that ..I got caried away fixing one train and bam!!! the train behind it rearends the train i was fixing as you said ...look at my other videos of this layout it is changing all the time
Make an 'N' gauge Tehachapi Loop. I tried. It came out fairly well but I put the set of tracks too close together so the trains would collide at Warren (5 miles N/W of Mojave) Did it on a 4X8 but needed bigger. Took an axe to it in a rage over some mow-ron. Kept all the rolling stock and buildings. Better to axe the tracks then axe the ass.
Oh my god dude, i was like amazed at the first whole parts of he video, nice N scale stuff, and how on earth did you have the set up forthe infrared or also hand wave controlled motion sensing train brake engages,...crazy, but then! How do you mess it up so bad in the end like three of your four main trains crashed without you being able to stop anythihg lol! Smokein!! nah but nice stuff id like to see more just damn like four or three def locos were crashed completely without stopping them. peace good luck! heh
@NickSolo420 some trains do stop for others at crooses liek down in rochelle illinois the trains cross there and stop all the time for each other ...but yeah not as fast as mine do like in 2 inches ...
@Slimline98 thats exactly why i built it as i did I wanted alot of action so it looked busy and it does just that I can run as many as 6 trains at once and with dcc fully operational it will run 8 or more ..I live in greenbay and when i get it where i can run all those trains i am going to have an open house and any one can come that has N and run thier trains .....
Great layout lots of action. What's the track plan? What's its measurements? I have H.O. That would double or triple the N scale measurements. Are we going to see a completed layout or at least a somewhat seniced layout. Great video hope to see more including that area off camera. And a track plan would be good. Have a great day everyone
Interesting layout. I would like to have seen more of the setup to the right. Anyway, next step would have been automatic train control. I hope you're installing that in your new layout. yeah thats why i took the layout apart but if it was so boring why did you watch the whole video ?? cause you were curious when the trains were going to crash hee hee i got ya ....
Good Lord, watching this video was as agonizing as watching 'Palmetto' with Woody Harrelson. It was a train wreck of a movie, got worse and more boring every second, and when the climax came, it was like a mosquito biting an elephant.. pretty inconsequential. Then again, if I'd have filmed the video, I'd have probably posted it too!
This layout is amazing could you post the track plan im building a layout with my son and some of the crossovers would be great if there not TOOOOO hard to wire
its just loops of track with a track going through the middle making that third cross and its all block control . if you need more info i can e mail it to u
i run the one loop with 2 trains cause its a long loop so i let 2 trains follow each other its alot of fun ..but u have to pay attention when running like that
the operator was tested and they found he was under the influence of all kinds of drugs and he was fired upon release from the hospital ...Luck he only sustaned a broken leg and black eye ....this is a fun layout to run i will be making new videos soon
Thanks it is alot of fun I have it set up for both dc and dcc operation I will be making a new updated video very soon so look back for it ...I have mountains and the round house and turntable is in and operational...and soon the yeards will be put into place .....
@ghostwolf06 ....continued ..I had the atlas dcc but it was just for beginners sold that and got back half my money i spent on the Nce system so i am happy ...what do u use for dcc digitrak?? ...look at my other posts i have
the video was to show how far i got on the layout but in order to get ppl to view it i made it interesting by naming it crash at the crossing , the crash was not intentional it just happened
If you watch my other videos you will see i have the layout set up in block control with toggle switches thats how i turn on and off the power to the different blocks tell i forget and or an to late and bam derail ...Ps this lay out is for sale with everything u will see and more in the newer videos ....
yeah the layout was designed for that reason ,,,but this layout is gone I took it down and I am well on my way to builing a new one , nothing like this one but with more operating features and lots of running ..I should have it uploaded later tonight
this is what i call me sucker layout video I draw them in with crash !!!! at the crossing then i make them wait and its just a little bump and a few cars fall off ...well it made you watch the whole video right ....
yeah it was funny when it happened I have a blast running this layout with 4 trains 2 follow each other and 2 are on there own loop it was designed that way ...did u see the other train smash the back of the one i was tring to get back on the track >? the engines dont get hurt cause its not going as fast as the video makes it look ...thanks for ur comment I will be making other video soon
@ghostwolf06 thanks for the comment the crash was not deliberate I was running the 4 trains and making this video at the same time so i got carried away and missed how close they were getting ...then everything went bad when the other train ran into the end of the one i was tring to fix ....I run dcc also and dc block control ..I just bought a very sweet NCE 5 amp system with the 04 extra controler and a bunch of other stuff for 315 on e bay ...its worth over 600 new
I will be putting more videos on soon yeah its fun to run ,the engines dont get damaged when they smash its just a bummer to put all the cars back on the track ..Haha ha ha !!!I am working on the mountains right now so the layouts changing all the time check back in a week and i should have more to see
@TrainfanCasey8 yes my next few vidies have sound when i started my layout i had a bad camera now i have a sweet one with good video and sound look for more very soon maybe this evening i will load them
well i guess i was a little harsh on that end im just not one of these guys who likes seeing trains running 100mph and the to top that, watchin them come within inchess of crashing and tearin shit up thats just me tho
@MEGAINSTAKILL no thats why i built this layout its challenging and fun to run and has that possiblity to crash the trains when i want to maybe i will do that and record some cool crashes and load them here look for them soon
