This is it, the final level. It's long and kinda hard, something you should expect from a final level. This was probably the level I enjoyed the most in the entire game.
my favorite part of the level is probably using all the colored gems you've gathered to get the extra clear gem. i think that is what motivated me to 100% complete the game back in the 90's
one of my favorite things about crash 2 is that if you die a bunch of times in this one spot, they give you an oota baga/aku aku, and if you still keep dying they give you a check point to make it easier :) i thought that was nice of the crash creators to do that
This level is such a blindside. Almost all the levels before this one are fairly easy and only slightly frustrating. But this level is like Crash 1 all over again, and I LOATHE those enemies that constantly open and close their arms.

I memorized that when i was younger and when I scored my first goal of the season in soccer this year I did that dance. I got a yellow card but it was totally worth it.
00:28 I remember some people were dissappointed that the orange gem was not in this game. Something could have been worked out about this route requiring all colored gem. Does anyone have any suggestions for the orange gem here? I do suggest that level 3 gives out an orange gem as a prize for beating the timer, just like level 11 gives out a yellow gem as a prize for beating the timer. In this game, it seems like the colored gem required something so special to collect it. I could mention Crash Bandicoot Warped, but it might spoil the game for people who do not know about that game yet.
I remember, the last time I finished this level, after I got the box gem, I backtracked the the whole level, and then went into the skull route path, just in case there were some boxes in there. That took a flippin' long time! I think I'm going to try it again though...
I actually started working on Crash 3 a few weeks ago. I just prefer to upload one video every day. I have some other stuff to upload the next couple of days, but I'll probably start uploading Crash 3 next week.
Oh my god I always have thought that for "destroy" those electric things who opened and closed "arms" I had to jump on them when the arms were opened and using tackle I lost a life. Damn I lost many lives trying to destroy them just jumping! :D And same for the men using shield. I always thought I could "kill" then using tackle but I could use square botton. Damn damn damn!

I've enjoyed watching all the videos. I did complete the game, but never to 100% (I barely got any of the gems!). I'm amazed at how complicated it could be to get some of them!
Because in one of his descriptions (around the beginning of the series) he mentioned that his slim PS2 fucked up the game a little, so he changed the PS2 to the fat PS2, and it stopped glitching.
they need to make a new crash game like this one, or one of the other two on ps1. Twinsanity was ok, but crash of the titans was so different and such a radical change that I couldn't take it
omg i did that to this year! i did it and i got a red cuz i already had a yellow, i was so friggin mad! but as dracomister7 said, it was totally worth it
@Hinata12224 It's a lot easier than it looks to get 99 lives x) Garland you're a complete pro. I've had this game for around 8 years, and only now i got 100%. All i got the other times was 90%'s and i got bored afterwards x). Thanks a lot dude, you're a pro and a helper :D
I use a DVD recorder. You buy them in any electronics store. They're expensive as fuck here, but I guess you can get a decent one for 100 bucks in the US.
How can you tell if he's emulating or direct recording? I've never seen it mentioned anywhere i his descriptions, but either way is fine, as long as the quality is good, which so far it is :D
I did the final level as soon as i got uop to teh room, but halfway through, in a Bonus Level, i got stuck! I JUST made the long jump near the end of the Bonus when i got stuck to the ground!! This has happened 3 times since i got Crash 2!! (About 2 weeks ago)

There are 2 extra levels: Totally Bear and Totally Fly. Try looking in Bandipedia about where their entrances are. P.S. Tiny doesn't have a Gem, as his level is a boss fight.
I don't get it... I got every gem possible, even the secret ones, and it still says 97%. Does beating Cortex give you the last 3%? Because, none of the other bosses counted towards completion...
Hey guys! I just played the whole game through. Or I thought I did... I have all the gems and crystals from each and every level. But still when I open the start-menu it says I have only 41/42 gems. I have all the colorful ones but one grey is missing. I dont have any idea where I have skipped one. Help! Anyone? Btw I played earlier it through by collecting only crystals and beating the bosses. Now I can't find the last gem.. Can it be Tiny's gem? How can I get it later on?
Sure, collect all the crystals, except on the final warproom. You can skip one of the crystals on the fifth warp room and get all the gems. Note: Tried it, didn't work. Sigh.
i finished another file with all coloured and normal gems AND beated cortex, but i only have 99%.. wtf? I thought the percentage was calculated throuhg the gems?
