Ever noticed that, after Coco blows on her hair, she looks at you impatiently like she was channeling Sonic? I decided to follow up on that at 00:11.
MORE BEEEEEEEEEEES! This time, they come in clustered of beehives instead of just one beehive. They tend to all come out in fives, but if you can quickly sweep them away with your attacks, you'll automatically sometimes get a 1-UP straight from their beehive. If you're good at that, you can use this to farm for 1-UPs until you get to 99 lives, which net you an achievement-per-game.

This level is more straightforward than Diggin' It, because despite the increased amount of bees and mallet-mashing Lab Assistants. Getting the Purple Gem here is the same as before, where you must first stand on a staircase of Nitro Crates that don't actually blow up.
The Purple Gem is still in the middle of the Death Route instead of the end. So you don't have to complete the course, but I go for that anyway for clarity,

In the following Cortex cutscene, Cortex claims to Crash that his old understudy, Dr. N. Brio, was responsible for their past fights in Crash 1, and that he's planning world domination again. Cortex then instructs Crash to deliver his 20 Crystals to his new assistant, Dr. N. Gin.
Once again, this cutscene was slightly edited from its original intent in the PS1 version of Crash 2, Cortex originally mentions to Crash about using a platform to reach N. Gin, since he's the next boss, but once again, that's obsolete since you now reach this game's bosses through their own doors. So while Cortex's feedback cuts out when he tries to bring up the platform, I edited this video to overlay my PS1 version of this cutscene where Cortex does indeed say "platform".
In N-Sane Trilogy, you won't be using that platform until AFTER you beat N. Gin.
