yeah, some people give the switch hate for being weaker but dudes, this thing is smaller than some ipads and is much more powerful then them, it is even more powerful then the ps3, xbox 360 and wii-u

It's like back in the day where there used to be a PSP version of console games. But in this era, the PSP version is the Switch version. And with the latest tech, you're playing a handheld game that looks like it could be on your TV screen especially if you have a Switch Lite. We've come a long way.

Forgive my bluntness but this is slowly turning into a copy pasta in my head.

@@PO1PLE The switch deserves every single bit of hate it gets. But it's devs deserve every single bit of praise to wrangle as much power as they can out of that thing. I think it just shows that you still live in 2015 if you think the switch is more powerful than the iPad. Even the cheapest 330$ ipad comes close in terms of GPU power and absolutely destroys the switch in terms of CPU power. I think you just don't realize how fast the mobile market is developing. Compared to a mid range 400-500$ phone right now, like a galaxy f62, the switch is hopelessly outclassed in absolutely everything. Cpu, memory, memory bandwidth, storage speed, display, etc. The only reason the switch sells is purely because of hype and the internet's obssession to it. That and some pretty cool games. Oh and, the only reason the switch is even remotely competitive in terms of raw GPU compute power compared to similarly priced 200-400$ devices is purely because these devices have a much lower TDP than the switch(even in handheld mode) since they have to conserve battery.

Well, i think its nonsense. The low shadow quality, the low resolution, missing objects and low fps makes it look like I'm playing a sixth or seventh gen game. But at least its portable and has good sound quality😄😄

I don't mind 30fps at all, but holy crap we really do need a better switch model. As a switch owner, my mouth is watering just looking at the crisp 4k 60fps footage. I would buy a switch pro if I could

@@maximumpink8487 30fps is fine for me. i just got this game for free on the base ps4 with ps+, and idk what he's talking about when he says the game feels sluggish on the base consoles. feels plenty fast and fluid to me, and i haven't experienced any noticable slowdown, and i'm pretty far into the game. i guess it's possible there have been some updates to improve it since the time of this review, but right now it runs fine for me.

And I dont believe you. Since playing Warframe docked on 32inch monitor looks like fucking crap at 720p. So you are lying because you are just a fanboy

The "graphics" didn't improve at all. Just resolution bump. Laziest port I've seen in a while. Doesn't even support HDR

Yes, the only difference is that if you have a 4k tv, the xbox one s can play games at 4k on it and the regular one can't

What would you have liked to see on next gen upgrades?

@@sloth9210 probably raytraced lighting and reflections. I am definitely curious how it will look or alter the style of the game.

@@callmeivan2064 seems like a pretty useless feature in a cartoon game where everything is over exaggerated to ad raytracing. I don’t think anyone would want this game to run with raytracing since the performance and resolution would take a hit for a very very small feature since there’s not a lot of place sit could even be used

@@sloth9210 im not saying it should be implemented , but would definitely interesting to see how it can alter the look. Especially raytraced lighting considering how many dynamic lighting scenes are used. Honestly, I wouldnt be so quick to call off using Ray tracing for a cartoon like game, Breath of the Wild have raytracing mods and boy, does it really make the game look way more vibrant.

It probably won't seem as blurry when you have it on the switch's small handheld screen and aren't zoomed in

I am playing it and played most levels on portable and it looks great. No blurry at all. And i played the first level on docked and it still looks gret with just minor details with lower resolution. The frame rate is really consistent too with no dips at all even on the most demands parts. A truly great port. It works great!

If you want the best version of the game then definitely go with ps5 or xsx. If you want to play it on the go or laying in bed then the switch version is still just as fun as those versions.

Because the base switch simply isn’t strong enough I guess, I mean look at the graphics. Plus it costs battery life too. I’m talking about a base switch which most people have not a cfw switch.

@@fudgemonkey5504 even laptop won't unlock the clock in playing games in battery mode,it must be plugged in... Im just saying that each players should have the option to have boost 60 fps mode with a plugged in switch..

@@fudgemonkey5504 like for example to save battery life on handheld mode you will only have 30fps.. But when docked, they will unlock the clockspeed just enough to play the game at 60 fps... If you own a cfw switch you will know what I meant about "enough clockspeed' because every game is different not all requires max clock, some or most of games only requires just above the normal official docked switch clockspeed.

personally i think you only notice the fps at at the very beginning the game still feels the same to me.

It's a console-portable hybrid that's using a Mobile GPU from 2015, it's outlived at this point in hardware prowess, but as we can see, it can still fight back. And again, it's trying to run a game that was made specifically for more powerful hardware, you can't expect it to look the most beautiful thing imaginable. Besides if you have a Switch and you're willing to risk, mod it and you'll be able to install mods for it(soon I believe) like people did with N. Sane and Reignited, outputing the game to 1080p, but you had to overclock the Switch to actually get there. CTRNF also got it's only 60FPS version on the Switch thanks to modders. Go figure.

The screen itself in handheld mode is 720p. 540p looks actually quite sharp on the Switch screen!

@@livinlikeeli6785 Yeah he didn't put in perspective that it's going to be playing on a small screen, you don't need that many pixels. I play some PS1 games on my phone in Native resolution since I don't really notice anything really. Sure Switch's screen is bigger....damn 540... It's lower than PAL Standard(576p), but bigger than NTSC standard(480p).... Eh it's small screen anyways.

Yes of course there are. BioShock and Splinter Cell are just a few I can name off the top of my head. These were originally Xbox/PC exclusives. Even XboxOne's exclusive "Sunset Overdrive" will likely see a sequel on playstation now. Crash, Resident Evil, and Silent Hill were never really "Owned" by Sony at all. Remember that PlayStation was the BIG new console at the time - and there weren't really any good alternatives aside from Sega (which btw - Resident Evil also released on Sega and PC as well)

@@Nick930 Awesome thank you! Is there any xbox exclusive that was exclusive to the xbox, without a PC release? And yes, resident evil released on PC after it was released on PlayStation, and sega a whole year after that. But I do see your point, Metal Gear is probably a better example than all of those I listed. I'm not against xbox at all, I just never had one and know nothing about them haha. Because it's a RU-vid video. You'd very likely notice it when looking at gameplay on the actual TV/screen.

@@fudgemonkey5504 Yeah, the Swich is almost embarrassingly weak when compared to the other consoles, but it makes up for it through being portable. I never take my Switch with me, but I find that I still play it portable - as opposed to hooking it up to my TV. I like to just chill in my bed and play it portable.

Yes. Pixel counting revealed it output in 540p in some cases. I believe it will dynamically scale between 540p and 720p but I'm not entirely sure

It is still native. It's only scaled in very specific circumstances (cutscenes for example). It's still rendering natively at 4K

@@Nick930 - That's true, all the rendering is actually done at 4k... although for gamers looking for that really crisp 4K look might wanna wait for PS5 pro or PC. When I imagine 4k gaming, Its just pure eyecandy to see almost no aliasing issues or resolution blur.
