PLATINUM TIME TRIAL RELICS INFO:
- First you must beat the level. Then on replay it will have a golden stopwatch at the start that triggers the time trial. The goal is to speedrun the level as fast as possible. Based on your performance you get a relic (Sapphire, Gold, Platinum, Purple). Platinum is the 2nd highest.
- There are 38 Platinum Relics total. You need them for the Faster Than Sound trophy / achievement. Purple Relics (the highest tier) automatically count as Platinum.
- The most important move is Slide-Attack. This makes you go much faster. After the story you also unlock Triple Spin which gives you a speed boost but it's less user-friendly than Slide-Attack. Try both to see what gives you better results in a given level.
- Destroy the Time Crates along the way, they stop the timer.
- Go for Triple-Masks (3 mask pickups), this makes you invincible so you can run straight through Nitro/TNT crates, traps and enemies.
- There are no checkpoints in Time Trials. If you die you will respawn at the beginning.

So this was the last relic I needed to complete 106% and I just got it. I still can't believe how difficult this game was, and I was afraid of being too easy lol. Thank you for your help.

Super difficult level. Definitely top 5. It took me three hours to get this soul-crushing plat, but I finally did it with 1:58. As usual, your video was crucial to getting the plat, so thank you so much, PowerPyx! I only have two levels left until I have ALL the plat relics, but I won’t let my guard down until it’s all down. Hardest damn level in the game for me. The difficulty was manageable until this point, even while I was collecting all the gems. I don’t wanna complain too much though because I like difficult games and this is the best Crash Bandicoot game imo

Got 01.53. For some reason it took me almost 3 hours but I ended up closer to the dev relic than the platinum. This was probably one of the most challenging ones

@@meraclechamlotte9291 first of all, I waited a bit at the start, in this way the cart doesn't limit my triple spin. What's important is to cut every corner without losing the inertia. The parts that really helped me are those shortcuts on the spinning platforms (1:02 and 2:44), with the right timing you can save several seconds instead of waiting for the platform to reach you. Also I totally missed the first Aku mask, in that way it's possible to get the invicibility (if you manage to save all of them), which is useful for the crates near TNT.

Just did it ( second time on PS4 ) . First mask behind Nitro crates .... SERIOUSLY ? Last year tried without this mask and it was TERRIBLE ! Thanks to this video anyway 😅

It took me 3 days to complete this level..... and took me 2 months to complete all the platinum time trial relics.... now to complete the flashback tapes... which for some reason I just cannot do them..... but will try and then the insanely perfect relics...... I have 10 to go.... and 4 flash back tapes left

Took 2.5 hours to get about 10 seconds from platinum, took a 15 minute break, and then finally got it first try back with a time of 1:59.

So is the triple spin actually faster than slide spinning? Now I've unlocked triple spin it's making it difficult to slide spin properly.

Once you get timing right you’ll nail it, On the ground I don’t thing there is much difference between both ( I do think sliding s faster tho ) but when jumping spinning is the way to go, so you never actually slow down

@@jasperhopland8913 I can’t remember now but I got the platnuim trophy for the game so it doesn’t matter but still. Oh and thanks for your videos on the game needing all platnuim relics for a crash game is ridiculous especially when it’s not just hold down the r2 button to super sprint what we’re they thinking it should have been gold like all other games especially with how precise you have to be pushing the square button in rhythm the entire time trail. Thanks again on your content it definitely helped get my routs/pathing better

I'm having to press buttons too quickly so half the time my game isn't able to respond to my button presses in time. So frustrating. Literally got 3 more relics to get and the self-inflicted nightmare will be over

@@meraclechamlotte9291 My advice is to master the cart section at 1:51. Don’t miss the swinging platform that follows; that’s where I lost a lot of time initially. I also recall skipping the reinforced crates with the time box and tnt stacked between - instead I just jumped as far as I could onto the swinging platform. Good luck! This is the hardest one but you’ll get it!

This ws incredibly difficult but it does give some room for mistakes i got 1.55.30 took me like hours but i personally thought nitro processing was hardwr cause it had a very tight time taking me 6hours so far that was the hardest. I do got 2 left and that could change but from what i seen online seeing double is difficult but cortex castlw is easiesr in this world

In my case, i get the 3 seconds by killing the bug at 1:26, also i skip the 3rd Aku mask and instead jump straight on the 2sec box to bounce on the upper platform. The time saved far exceed the 3 sec crate i would get if i was in invincible mode. I got it without triple spin, only slide spin, however wth the triple spin you can save about 5 second before even reaching the first mask.

Another piss easy Platinum Relic. Only took me 20 minutes or so. There aren't many shortcuts so just hit all the crates and don't dawdle too much and you should have it.

Took me 6 hours, not even kidding...my first time finishing i did 2:01:68 and platinum is at 2:01:66 I couldn’t believe it

@@giovannisantangelo5071 I spent a long time practicing the gem path and the level in general with the Perfect Relic, but as for the Platinum Relic there's really no tricks to it and the time is extremely generous. Not even in my top 5 hardest.

@@WildWazz it’s just practice man, but my problem sometimes was that i was always rushing it and I didn’t take my time but truth is you need to die 100 times sometimes before you get that perfect run. I wanted to give up so many times to be honest but i kept watching many different videos for different solutions so good luck to you
