I always found N. Gin to be the harder boss than Cortex. He was always more challenging and more effort was needed to beat him. To me personally, N. Gin is the strongest boss in Crash Bandicoot. He's smarter and better than Cortex. Idk why Cortex is his boss. It should be the other way around. All of Cortex's plans was always made by N. Gin. He's the real boss.

It's possible that N.Gin might have some kind of Stockholm Syndrome condition with Cortex, which might explain why he's submissive to Cortex. You have to keep in mind N.Gin has severe head trauma from that missile so that might have something to do with it. BTW N.Gin didn't work for Cortex in Crash 1 so you can't really say that N.Gin made every single plan for Cortex, plus Uka Uka was the real one pulling all the strings.

Other than that N Gin has more life than Cortex,Takes 12 hits,As for Cortex takes 3 Fxcking hits,I agree but Cortex still leads as a leader with Uka Uka

@@kidsIIIII009 In Cortex's defense though, Crash is attacking him directly and knocks him down a pit (which prompts Uka-Uka to save him the first 2 times), which Coco is fighting N-Gin in his mech. No doubt someone in a mech will need alot more effort to take down than someone on foot

At first I hated how they removed N.Gin being hurled into space after his mech explodes (along with his not again line) but now with him having a metal hand in It's About Time which is supposed to be set after Warped with Cortex and N.Tropy finally escaping from where they were trapped during Warped's 100% credits scene makes perfect sense in that he probably lost his hand in the explosion of his mech so they obviously didn't want to show his hand being blown off.

The super interesting thing about this N’Gin boss fight it’s that it completely breaks away from the usual traditional way of beating Crash Bandicoot bosses. Crash usually defeats the bosses through resourcefulness, outmanouvring and exploiting weak spots. N’Gin’s mech here is so tough that Crash’s spins or wumpa fruit toss wouldn’t work against him, regardless of how Crash manages to attack him, not to mention they’re in space, so crash can’t run around to outmaneuver him either. Essentially all 3 methods Crash generally uses against the bosses wouldnt work on this mech. So it’s up to Coco, with her technical smarts to create a spaceship that can not only re apply the 3 methods in a different way, but also be strong enough to damage NGin. Thus, sending Coco to fight Ngin is actually incredibly fitting, technical smarts for a technical opponent

Also in Crash 4 in the Flashbacks tapes N Gin talks about mentoring her on computers. So like Cortex, N Gin is bested by their creation.

@@ci7210 actually it wasn’t Ngin who created Coco, it was Brio. But character relation wise, Ngin is still considered the main rival of Coco

@@smart.but.stupid Backstory in the original Crash 2's manual hinting that he wasn't evil from the start? Just make him as two dimensional as Cortex, never give him any character development at the possibility of becoming a anti-villain, anti hero or even betray Cortex completely(no Brio doesn't count cuz he goes back to being evil after Crash 2)and also never mention or bring up N.Gin's backstory anywhere in any of the games. See not even Naughty Dog could be arsed to flesh N.Gin out. It's called wasted potential! Also I didn't exactly grow up with Crash 2 or 3 so i'm not nostalgia blind like you probably are to see that N.Gin was just flat out boring in the original!

He's not annoying, he's not a weirdo, calling someone an annoying weirdo due to head trauma caused by a big giant foreign object stuck in his brain is not cool! Classic N.Gin is boring! He could've developed and become a good guy! End of story!

I wish there was an update for this game to where Dr. N. Gin would say his two famous lines during the boss battle: "Prepare to be PULVERIZED Bandicoot!" and "AAARRGH! NOT AGAIN!" They even had an update for the Dingodile boss battle to where at the end, he would say his famous line: "You thrashed me, mate. No worries. But you'll soon be up against much worse."

They cut two of his lines for this fight. At the beginning he used to say "Prepare to be PULVERIZED Bandicoot!" At the end: "AAARRGH! NOT AGAIN!"

Its a shame that N. Gin got nerfed. Specially the MG barrage now it moves sloooower and the DPS is under the original.

@@shank8966 I remember now! Boy did I break many a Playstation game controller out of frustration due to how epicly difficult N Gin was on original playstation!!! Don't get me wrong, he is still pretty difficult on the N Sane Trilogy version on Steam and Stadia as well!

@@ralphjames1211 I think it’s due to camera control. In the original, you wouldn’t even bother to go above Ngin to dodge his mini gun since it’s literally at the top of the screen. Here the boundaries are a lot more free

Yeah the remake just didn't do it for me. The original was MUCH better. They needed to speed up the pace. The sound shouldn't drown out the music. The health should've been buffed a little bit. Ugh...
