A very important "rural", and non-mentioned factor, here is the QNH source ?? I can only assume some METAR from somwhere that has one... but that's coz know QNH is relative to non-specific locations. And most importantly we should not assume, but also as pilots sometimes we do not have exactly accurate infomation and must factor distance from any QNH source. If "VFR"... your eyes are an excellent backup altitude device... Too many times, I do not look out side the Aircraft.
