That was an awesome save, better to change few front parts than the whole body shell... Anyway those tires were and still are the worst idea that organizers could do for the safety in chicanes and outside barriers on exit of the curves (without cover plates), because as you can see here it rolls the car most of the time instantly due to its friction... hay-bales or simple cones with 2s penalization or 20s for running through are a better solution... I dont get why some organizers dont have this simple logic figured out after all these years still... tires are very dangerous in these locations.
Uhm, maybe something softer than those tyres. Unnecessary damage, and a whole lotta flat spots on tyres. But other than that... Let the speedo cables and rev counters break guys. 😊
The tire chicanes are meant to slow the cars down not make it impossible for some classes to drive thru them. Bad for the race and bad for the fans when cars are knocked out from those distractions.
