Thanks for watching! Enjoy!:) 00:00 Ripper Roo 05:33 Papu Papu 12:14 Komodo Joe 18:52 Pinstripe Potoroo 28:27 Nitros Oxide (Final Boss) + Ending 39:17 Nitros Oxide (True Final Boss) + True Ending 50:07 Credits All boss battles comparison of Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled for PS4 in 1080p and 60fps
Ripper Roo's laugh is just so much better in the original, but the extra little animations they add to the pre-cutscene races for each boss is pretty top notch. difficult to decide.
I was so happy to see the boss cutscenes are maintained. They coulda done a bit more with it but it's nice to see Ripper Roo still talks in manic laughter.
@@xX12intheairXx What I meant was that I kinda was hoping Ripper Roo's dialogue specifically would be more more spread out; basically most of it is a couple long strings of subtitles. Like I said though, it's still a fantastic remastering.
Kinda hard to believe that Naughty Dog made CTR in an attempt to end the Crash Bandicoot franchise. They thought that a character, a main antagonist no less, like Oxide, wouldn't be taken seriously or be well received and that the game would bomb and they could leave the series dead behind them. Boy, did _they_ miscalculate!
OG CTR : Fuck you Crash Bandicoot! NF CTR : Love you Crash Bandicoot! What an irony, Nitro-fueled is a love letter and a celebration for 20th anniversary for a game that wanted to ruin the franchise. Remaking a game who wants to destroy the franchise lmfao.
Man, pinstripe has some good trigger discipline. It's a minor thing but its worth noting for a gangster who gave the crash team some trouble in the past who just sprays his gun like its was pesticide.
@@sesithethiccat5971 you need to know his path of driving... AI racers are given a set of path they travel across, they're not random... This is a reason why sometimes no one hit your nitro crate after 7 laps elapsed, because that crate is not in the way of someone else's path, if you know put your nitro crate in their line of driving... your items will certainly hit someone. Now you need to know oxide's line of driving, and that would make placing the item before the void a walk in the park.
Sometimes i like to see CTR as an actual racing game because some subtle details reminds me to that genre. In this case, i like to see the bosses as a pace car, and the way they throw you items in zigzag is like if you have to beat an slalom test.
49:20 **meanwhile in the vacuum of space** *_AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH_*
I love the remaster. I just hate the new collision detection of it. Can't drift like I used to on the original. They did something with the gameplay and it bothers me
Based on the footage I thought they had the source code but I guess not after reading this. With the Nsane trilogy they had no source code either and simply had to mimic by eye. Great the know the PSone version is still worth going back to.
2:49 my favorite character :D new Ripper Roo 5:29 GREAT ! ... key... ... Ripper Roo can eat keys ! XD i love that moment xd hmmm.. i wanna set this moment as wallpaper on my phone : DDD
@@fridaynightnicktoons6885 Yes but I don't think Crash remasters are good I was thinking that be only n sane trilogy but I'm scared that crash will be only remakes
@@sonicgem9122 they can only do a few more remakes. Remakes are good. Gets old and new people invested and teaches Activision what we want. They clearly didn't know what we wanted in those mutant games. It'll be Bash Then wrath Then twinsanity Then a new game. Maybe a combo of wrath/twinsanity and tag team. Bash is big enough for solo,as is twinsanity. We should have a new crash in 8 years maximum. Most likely 6 or less if they do a combo like n sane was. I predict a remake every other year with Spyro in the middle of eachh year gap. Then a new game after twinsanity or tag team. That's what I hope. And no more vicarious visions.
I gotta say the voice overs though different are generally really good... but there are 2 things about pinstripe in the remake which bother me. First is he doesn't say he's the speed CHAMPEEN :( Second is the delivery of his last line just seems a bit weird to me.
@@flipflop2628 you can't do that anymore... 1. The glitch shortcut by jumping over the wall just before the spiral that makes you directly land on the super turbo pad is no longer possible because they made the walls higher. 2. The glitch shortcut by falling down the track below it (The one after the big jump and before the tracks lined up together) is no longer possible. 3. The infamous glitch shortcut by turning around and skip over the fence separator between two sections, is no longer possible because the separator is no longer a fence, but a wall which is high enough to prevent that. 4. The glitch shortcut at the last jump that requires USF to land just right next to the finish line is impossible now because the gravity during the last jump is significantly higher therefore makes you fall faster.
Don't forget the cutscenes comparisons between the original & the remake, including the ones with Aku Aku & Uka Uka in it, only if you are Crash Bandicoot & Dr. Neo Cortex in Adventure Mode.
To be Honest.... In my opinion it s pretty hard to decide which would be my favorite out of this. By only seeing the ps4 version it already reminds me of my old memories ( Ps one Version ). I love to see how many people still love this game so far. this Game was one of my all time favorites in my childhood. In the original version i liked more how crash bandicoot laughs. In the new version it looks so damn sexy.
The remake is literally the og one with so much content, online and remaked graphics and soundtrack. I would say the new one is better by a mile, of course the nostalgia is still there for the og.
You do know Josh mancell came back to do the remake right ? And if your so nostalgia blinded just change it to the original plz don't ruin this remake for us >:(
@DVJFan I like the remastered soundtrack better than the original soundtrack I can hardly hear the old soundtrack in the remake it's way to quiet the original soundtrack gets kind of boring in my opinion
Comparison of some missing content from the original: Trophy Girls are missing The Award Ceremony after beating Oxide is removed The Trophy Girls do not appear on the end credits To those of you wondering; no the Trophy Girls have not been forgotten, they’re coming in a free DLC for the game next Wednesday Also comparing the Nitrous Oxide Racer; Original: Static Re-skin over a normal character and he is huge Remake: Actual animating character and he seems pretty much like a normal-sized character
Only thing my friend and I could deduce was that it's supposed to be a reference to Back to the Future, but I'm pretty sure Marty wore a red vest over a denim jacket, not a red coat.
the little tiny changes they made to the end credits was cool. but they didnt add the trophy girls backstory in the remastered ending. NOW IF IT WAS ONLY ON PC
*Before watching vid* Heh knowing ripper roo he probably ate the key, and when he loses he vomits it back up covered in slobber. *After* I was kidding!
They did pretty good jub on driving the new CTR definitely better handling, cornering, drifting, and graphics. The new CTR engine is capable for some crazy pro drivers to do their magic that you couldn't in the old version of the game.. 🚀
One thing you can notice here is how Oxides boss race was completely nerfed in the remake. Since the remake of the original 3 Crash games kept their difficultie levels this is interesting. Guess they didn't want journalists complaining again because the game didn't hold their hand I guess. 😂
it's unclear at what difficulty he was playing... It's likely to be untouched for hard... i mean... you get destroyed by bot racers on hard difficulty, they're harder than the OG because they got orbs, masks, and clocks.
apparently thats not even the highest difficulty and in the original the person playing had bad luck, notice the rematch got much easier and the player was far ahead of Oxide.
Crash bandicoot hard 100% annoying remake too easy Crash bandicoot 2 cortex strikes back 100% too easy remake harder Naughty dogs Crash bandicoot 3 warped crash runs faster remake crash runs slower can't beat my ps1 relic times on the ps4 version 105% about the same difficulty
Good God they nerfed Oxide for the updated game. On the PS1 version he was final boss worthy and you didn’t pull off until the final lap. PS4 side, you won before the thing even started!
Also the way he reacts t taken damages is completely different. In the original it's just a slide that goes almost as fast as his normal speed while in the remakes, he just takes damages by flying over like any other character and so loses a LOT of time, doesn't seems big on paper, but when it happens in the race, the difference is just that huge to call it a nerf.
I love that vicarious not only kept the same dialog from the original, but also added more interesting cutscenes to it and somehow gave the bosses more personality in it. However, this wasn’t the only time vicarious worked on a crash racing game. They were also the group responsible for helping in the creation of crash nitro kart, one of my favorite ps2 games, and the first crash game that i played when i was younger. So, i believe that the crash series is in good hands, so long as they don’t try adding dumb trends to it. If i couldn’t stand seeing a skeleton do the floss in spyro, so much so that i almost stopped playing altogether just so i wouldn’t see it again, then seeing crash or anyone do that sort of stuffwill make me lose faith in series. Though from what i’ve seen others reation to it, i don’t think i’ll have to worry too much.
ItsJamieDodgr oh, right. I suppose then that it’s activision that helped make the big changes. Sorry, egg on my face for that one. But my previous statement still stands, just with a different company in mind. Look, whoever or whatever made this remake happen and look so freaking good should stick to it for any other future games to come, as long as they don’t try anything that others may regret them doing.
Jemima Fajutagana Yeah. Beenox managed to turn them from the characters just sitting in their karts and talking to the viewer to actually interacting with the characters. Especially when they went from low polygonal PS1 quality characters to become high quality cartoons that people see from Pixar, DreamWorks, Illumination, etc.
I don't know, game looks so amazing but I think that they made it easier, like all the bosses are now so easy to beat, do you remember how many hours we spent trying to beat them in the PS1? The remastered version it's amazing and I'm glad they did it, but looks so easy to beat the game
Ripper Roo: Original. I get it. It's stock sound, but damn this is how he most well known. From the hyena laugh. He just sounds better and less goofy. Also he sounds more intimidating. Papu: Original. Sounds more intimidating with also a much deeper and gruffy voice. It sounds exactly like how you can imagine Papu Papu Komodo Joe: Original. But this was much harder. They both did a great job! It was very close, but the original Komodo Joe sounded a bit more initmidating Pinstripe: Original. This one isn't even close. The original Pinstripe voice sounds threatening, intimidating, and feared. The new one sounds horrible. N Oxide: Original. Again the remake did a decent job trying to replicate the voice, but N Oxide just sounds much more intimidating in the original CTR than the remake.
I agree with everything but Komodo joe's new voice actor I honestly prefer the new lines and dialogue in the remake plus Komodo joe also acts more bad Ass in the remake now and his crying also isn't just obnoxious stock effects. However the original komodo joe sounds pretty awesome in those two original win and lose cut scenes though thinking about it Komodo joe's original dialouge makes him sound more creepy than intimidating.
