Relic Races are very similar to Time Trials. The only difference is this time, we have yellow boxes that pause the timer. These boxes are marked with a "3", "2", or a "1" which relate to the number of seconds that the timer will be paused for when you collect the box. If you hit every single box in a track, you will get an additional -10 seconds off your final time. To win a relic, all you have to do is complete the race in the best time possible.
There are three possible rewards, a sapphire relic (the easiest), a gold relic, and a platinum relic (the hardest). For completion, all we need is a sapphire relic in each race. You can go for the harder relics that require faster times if you want additional cosmetic items, but they aren't necessary.
