Speaking as a both a nurse of 16 years and as a human being, it truly pisses me off to hear medical providers accuse patients, especially children, of lying about illness simply because they can't figure out a diagnosis. Instead of saying "I'm sorry, I don't know what's wrong, but I'll send you to someone who can hopefully figure it out" - which is annoying but far more respectable - they say "I've tested for everything and there's nothing wrong". Never trust a provider like that becausethey'rethe ones with a God complex. I get that people do lie sometimes about illness, but it should not assumed

I'm 18 years old and chronically ill. This summer, I was (falsely) told that I could have a life-threatening illness. Now we know it's not life-threatening, but they still don't really know what's wrong with me. I will definitely be purchasing something from Never Stop as I have been very lucky to be secure financially and have the resources to get the care that I need. I can't imagine what it must be like to be a CHILD and be in that situation without money. Thank you for doing what you do, Jake!

Yes, I saw you guys before the show and so wish you would have told our crew guy your story. I love what you are doing for people in need.

I did a kidz bop show at 6 flags great America in Gurnee in like 2004 to 2006 or something and i shit u not they just reached out to a local dance studio and asked for kids lol. I wouldn’t be surprised if they still just cast local kids for the concerts.

i really wish my parents would take my health issues more seriously. it’s been over 3 years since i went to the ER for stomach pain, and it hasn’t gone away. they literally told me just to take laxatives for the rest of my life because my digestive system doesn’t work very well on it’s own. :,)

I thought this was just going to be another fun video. I didn't think I was going to cry from it. I've been on the street in a wheelchair for 2 years because of undiagnosed chronic health problems. When I was brought to the doctor as a kid for the pain and weakness they did a few xrays and said they couldn't find anything wrong. my 13 year old sister just got a diagnosis and started going to physical therapy because of my health problems and now I can use hers to get myself taken seriously. Being a homeless ex drug addict (the homelessness and drug addiction were a result of the untreated health problems) makes it next to impossible to get taken seriously. Even if you can't walk. Even if you have *gangrene* in your feet. I'm lucky to still be alive and every day is a fight but as badly as I've wanted to, I've never stopped. I just applied for the assistance he's providing and I'm praying... This is the first nonprofit I've heard of that will help people without diagnoses. I love seeing RU-vidrs use their platform to make a difference in a real way.

I really hope you see this comment. I have also been sick my whole life. I randomly watched this video after seeing it hang out in my recommended for a few weeks, and when you said "I've been sick my whole life," I had a knee-jerk eyeroll reaction assuming you were making a joke, since that's the kind of thing health people say when they've been sick for a few weeks... And then you told my whole life story back to me. I got sick when I was a kid and was misdiagnosed for a while with chronic migraine before eventually getting diagnosed with Lyme. My mom had to stop working to care for me full time and my parents drained their retirement to pay for different treatments. The thing that made me shed a few tears, though, is your mention of Lymelight--I never used their services, but when I was a teenager, I would hold bake sales to raise money for them. I only ever raised like two or three hundred each sale (not including expenses), and I remember one year going to a 5k fundraiser Lymelight was part of to give them an envelope of cash in person. I wanted to help other kids in a similar situation to me, and it's so incredibly touching to actually see someone who got help from them. I always looked back on those memories with a bit of pity, wondering if my little fundraisers even did anything, but now I know that teenage me was actually helping people out. :)
