I saw Casey walking in the background during ABC's broadcast from the red carpet. Dude looked like he was looking for something interesting to capture.
5:17 Random dude: "Sir." Casey: Yes? Random dude: "We're not allowed to have any wireless devices of any kind on the carpet." Casey: .2 seconds later, Casey is back on camera. Priceless!!
So, he has really shitty seats and then he didn't... what's up with that? I would really love if he just posted the full, unedited version of him backstage. I'd love to see what's going on back there.
Matthew Astori ugh, of course I know what vlogging is. I'm just really wondering what this dude does all day, or what he did before he became a famous vlogger.
its so cool that one of the youtubers we watch every day gets to go and capture huge moments like these! RU-vid as a career is becoming more relevant every day, I cannot wait to see what the future holds for all the awesome people on here! One of my favorite vlogs Casey, you're the best
This comment section is basically trash due to the fact that most people wanted other youtubers to be there. You have people saying how they enjoyed it, but absolutely hate Casey's attitude towards it. Most of the time Casey was being sarcastic, because HE WAS BEING HUMAN. He's not like other youtubers who put on a act when they get put on camera. He was expressing how he felt about being at the Oscars. He likes getting into trouble, and wants to go the extra mile for us. Jeez, some people are really salty about he acted. There are people who would've been like OMG IM AT THE OSCARS, but that just isn't Casey, and that is what makes him a special youtuber. Putting that aside, how hilarious would it have been if Casey rode the boosted board to the Oscars ?
The oscars are for pioneers. People miss interpret 'Pretty' and 'Popular' as good film making. Roger Deakins invented color grading and won his first Oscar in 2017 even tho he had been doing the craft for over 40 years. Alfonso Quaron revolutionised CGI in gravity. Those are just examples but the point is still there. They aren't judged by popularity as for what they do or have done for the industry. It's sort of artists recognising each others major feats of the year. Not 'His movie was best and most popular'/
Here's to the greatest vlogger at ever lived! Thanks Casey Neistat for being a friend that takes us through your amazing journey through life with you!!!!
This is a great example of how ordinary the Oscars really are. This video shows raw footage of what it's like and frankly, without all the staged and edited Hollywood glitz involved, the ceremony is really nothing special.
Oh my fucking God, seriously? Why are people such sad lil trolls. If he goes to Dubai I assume you'd want him to sail over the whole ocean and then take a car ride all across Europe and to Dubai because that is so much more planet friendly, convenient and time saving right?😒
*This was one of the coolest vlogs Casey has done so far (and there have been some GREAT ones).* Thanks Casey for inspiring me to create weekly videos of my own :). Keep up the awesome work!
+Andre Saddler (Ayysir) not bashing Casey here I'm a huge fan of his. But if I'm not wrong, the gear 360 does all of the stitching automatically doesn't it? So at least it'll be less work than his GoPro setup he used to use. I agree though it'll probably be Samsung to release the video
I literally cried when Leo got his first Oscar. Imagine being that situation. Years of movie making and perfecting his art. He is a humble man and he knows what to do when you have ears that will listen - spread a positive message that will out live him. Congrats once again Leo and great vlog Casey. :)
