Appreciate you review! Definitely would recommend shopping at the Crate and Barrel Outlets for Sofas and or furniture they always have great deals. It was well worth our 3 hour drive we purchased Axis 2-Piece Sectional Sofa ($489) with Left-Arm Storage Chaise ($489) Color: Taft Steel Textured Weave plus a furniture wrap fee ($6) and taxes ($58.68) for grand total of $1042.68 compared to the Crate and Barrel retail store/website price of $3,948.00. Our set was marked as "First quality" meaning furniture is either new in the box/unpacked at the outlet or retail Crate and Barrel good of condition.

Hey! I have this exact color and model couch too!! Totally agree with everything you said. It’s been an amazing couch and we’ve had it for almost 4 years! Still looks brand new because of how durable it is. Couple questions for you - How did you wash it? What detergent did you use? Did you put in the dryer or let it air dry? Thanks for any tips! 😊
@JulietteMonet
@JulietteMonet Год назад
It truly is the best couch! So, I take the covers off, wash with all natural detergent (my fav is seventh generation - also use their softener) - machine wash cold, I do dry mine. I have an Electrolux dryer so it gives the options for delicates, airdry for temp, and normal for dryness. It works great and it doesn't hurt the fabric at all! It didn't wrinkle or shrink. I'm so happy with this couch! Everyday spills I use soap and water on a microfiber cloth and it comes right up :)

Hi! question about the fabric! So we are in final stages of deciding on Axis sectional, but are struggling to choose between Ice and Pumice. It's hard to tell if Ice ends up looking cool or warm from afar, since it has those little black lines. We want to accessorize with ivory so want a warm look. We are worried it will actually look like light grey when you step back. Does it appear to be a warm light neutral or more of a grey in your home?
@JulietteMonet
@JulietteMonet Год назад
It’s definitely not warm. Although, I would say it works best with more cooler tones. Good thing is that it also can work with warm color schemes as well. However, if you want something that’ll really work well with warmer tones - they have better options like Pumice. Bottom line, if you simply like the color of ice and are worried it’ll clash - don’t! It’ll work :) but they’re just better options that’ll compliment warmer tones a lot easier if that makes sense

Hi, I am considering this sectional as well and wanted to know if you're still happy with it, now that a few more months have passed.....it seems like the perfect sectional for us as well. We were considering something cheaper at a retail furniture chain store by us, but I really don't want to have to replace it in a few years. So, are you still happy with it? Thanks in advance for your feedback!
@JulietteMonet
@JulietteMonet Год назад
I am!! I felt exactly the same. It actually became more expensive always having to replace our sofa. The quality is really unmatched. We have toddlers and the sofa still looks the same after all the playing, jumping and spills. It’s made very well and will last for a long time. I’d definitely recommend getting this sofa.

Great review, thanks so much for sharing. I am considering the C&B Lounge sectional, but now I think I will check out the Axis. How do you like the wedge corner? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the additional space it will take up in our family room.
@JulietteMonet
@JulietteMonet 10 месяцев назад
Great question! I always figured bigger is better, especially for seating. You may have a large party or get together and I always feel you can never have enough places for people to sit. I love the wedge corner. We have an open floor plan in our home and it really makes the living area seem more sectioned off. I hope that helps :)
@realhousewifeoftransylvania1.0
I feel your pain, I finally had to spend that kind of money to get something that is durable and will last a few years without looking saggy!! I bought and returned and exchanged SO many throughout the years. So aggravating and frustrating. You will not get anything good below that price. Lol!
@JulietteMonet
@JulietteMonet Год назад
Exactly! Looking at it as an investment really helps to save. But I also learned how to spot quality too because that's not always reflected in price. Thankfully, CB stands behind their quality as well :)

What other couch did you consider or would be a close contender?
@JulietteMonet
@JulietteMonet Год назад
To be honest, nothing really compared to it for us. We’ve bought quite a few sofas over the years, so we knew exactly what we wanted. This sofa checked most if not all of our requirements. But keep in mind, our requirements may not be yours. So I would suggest making a list of top things you want from a sofa - and use that to help make your decision. Happy hunting 😊

Do you get annoyed that the color changes when you rub the fabric one way with Douglas Ice. I really love the Douglas fabric, it's so soft and feels good and I feel like it's very stain resistant. Douglas Lace (SUPER WHITE) is the only Douglas fabric that doesn't change color.
@JulietteMonet
@JulietteMonet Год назад
Because it isn’t a stark difference and the fabric is very low pile, it doesn’t bother me. Tbh, I hardly notice. The small herringbone pattern helps with the uniformity as well.

What prevents the sections from moving and separating when you sit on it?
@JulietteMonet
@JulietteMonet Год назад
I totally forgot to mention that! It’s a metal locking system at the base of each section. It’s super easy to push in place and it’s not difficult to unlock either. It doesn’t slide around either and we don’t even have a rug underneath yet.
