Two collapses captured on March 21, about 30 hours after first eruption.
This is from when it was only one crater, that one in video, with a small spout on the back that later turned into the second crater. Also the eruption was contained to Geldingadalur, with the valley floor at most 20-30% filled.

@Jakob Vegerfors • Thanks for editing this down to the moment of the collapse. I've watched so many hours of your volcanoes in the past month, I'm becoming more selective. 👍

it's always beautiful, the only time you don't see it as beautiful is when it affects living creatures cause we feel sad but objectively it's always beautiful

Not a crater collapse, a cone collapse. If it was a crater collapse, it would be a caldera .

It is a spatter cone that collapsed.

Compaired to the Lava on the Hawaiian Islands, that stuff is like MUD . What a difference in flow and consistency. Clearly that lava is cooler by the time it reaches the surface.

It's also the silicon content, more silicon makes it stickier. Hey we're all vulcanologists now.

I just realised....how do flat eathers explain volcanos and earth being filled with magma? Also, what do they think is on the underside of "flat earth"???

Question, did the girl frantically asking "where's my phone" ever find it?

Great video, this is probably the best part of the whole volcano story!. What does the "fors" part of your name mean?. Greetings from Hjaltland :)

March 21 doesn’t sound correct. The whole thing this year only began on March 19.

Yes, this is captured around just under 48 hours from first visible eruption. The splatter cones like the one in the video build up very fast - and collapse, and build up again etc. I can at least ensure you that the date is correct!
