I feel like too many "children's" art supplies are designed only to sell and not to facilitate art at all... I have so many damn memories of cheap crap frustrating me when I was a kid to the point of giving up. I'm sure the crayola air brush has been flung across the room many times and maybe even caused a couple kids to give up on exploring new mediums altogether. Just... Just avoid art supplies marketed to kids specifically. 90% of it is junk.

I have an electric Crayola compressor that plugs in, and works a lot better, for about the same price! I suppose since you have the Copic one you don't need to try it.

Like 20 years ago, Crayola had an airbrush kit that had some kind of air compressor in it. It was battery powered an made an ungodly racket, but it worked surprisingly well. It was much smaller than this one and took thin, brush tipped “airbrush” markers. I loved that thing. If it could be airbrushed, it was.
