This game is very unrealistic for hitting, basically broken.. You can be a pro pitcher throwing perfect pitches 100% of the time but still get crushed - even pitches that are completely out of the zone (impossible to hit in real life) will get crushed for a Home runs in this game. Using 99 Marino Rivera and throw a cutter inside to a lefty so far in that it nearly hits the batter? Expect that pitch (which is totally unhittable as it’s so far inside) to get constantly crushed for hits or home runs. Expect pitches thrown basically in the dirt to somehow get crushed also. Even the most perfectly executed pitches thrown in spots that *should* be impossible to hit, they can and will get crushed in this game, especially at higher skill levels like HOF. Why should pitches thrown way out of the strike zone, and dotted in perfect locations (that should be virtually unhittable) be hit for a HR like it’s nothing? That’s not realistic. All of the top players in this game have pitcher ERA’s of 5.00 to 10.00 +. So much for a realistic game where good pitching actually matters… Heck there is even a TOP 30 world player with an ERA of 29.90. Seriously look up the top ranked players. This makes zero sense at all. No matter how good of a hitter you are you shouldn’t be able to crush pitches so easily, let alone pitches totally out of the zone that are spotted perfectly. Only time you should be crushing the balls is if the opposing player sucks at pitching, and locates poorly. But in this game the opposing pitcher can be a PRO at pitching, and locate 100% perfectly, and STILL give up hits and constant home runs, and have an insanely high ERA on all their pitchers. Again makes no sense. Game is the complete OPPOSITE of realistic.
Kyle, I’ve been down lately and this fire mlb the show content has made me feel better and I’ve been thinking about starting twitch streaming. Thank you.
That moustakas card is legit one of the best hitting cards in the game easy. Besides chipper, i can't think of many better hitting 3rd baseman, even the jacked up 99s dont hit the way he does for some reason. He's just always a monster in any game mode and any mid to high 90s card that he gets will automatically be a top hitting card in the game always. Same with yasmani. Hes the best hitting catcher in the game. Better than schwarber(whos not a real catcher anyway),better than adley, and piazza as well. Some players just have that swing plus power and it doesn't matter if they're 95-97 and not 99s. They're just better than most... I can't see putting in a new catcher all year over yasmani idc bout his speed. He's a catcher
