And I think the puppeteer looked at his diploma before making the call because it was a diploma for something about ACTING, as the little girl said, and the diploma itself made him think even more that he should have lied, as he knew he had the talent of acting. Of pretending, in a believable manner. This COULD be the case with that tiny scene, but hey, I’m just a smol nerd. But above all else, yeah, I think the intro of the game was the way it was because all of these monsters are in her imagination; They are just corrupted versions of the Rat, Candy, and Vinnie she knows, so she basically just imagines Vinnie telling her it was her fault purely because she generally blames herself, but also because he was there too, and he thinks that because of her knowing his puppeteer’s secret and spilling it, she had just put both him AND the puppeteer in danger. In reality, you’d think it’d just be the puppeteer, but if she is imagining that Vinnie is alive, obviously she’d think that Vinnie also fears his own dangers aswell.
