Join us for this sometimes vlog as we give an update on the craziest Halloween 2022 DIY prop and decoration projects we are working on for the Winchester Mystery House haunted attraction. We also take a quick tour of our haunted yard and show some of our evil horde of Halloween home haunting fun. I first discovered Mishap Manor when I was building my first big display at my parents house. Made columns, pvc fence and aged wood for a casket using your videos. Can’t believe its been a decade!

@@HollywoodHaunter Sadly I don't decorate their house anymore when they asked me to stop because they were over it haha! I live in a townhome so no yard or anyplace to really decorate. My front door gets some treatment, but I do a Victorian Haunted House interior for Halloween/Fall that I keep thinking I might leave up all year!

We have several projects that end up that way. Its mostly because we may get a gig that comes our way and need the money or life but ya we have a bunch of unfinished projects.

Something I found to lower clogs on airbrushing is after mixing the paint/diluter, strain the mixture through a mesh strainer. Gets rid of the clumped pigments.

Latex paint through an airbrush is bad juju. You''re gonna get constant clogs, even at high pressure. Acrylics are your friend there. Not as durable though.

Ok, I don't feel so bad. My Western Ghost Town (DEFINITELY inspired by you guys here in Oklahoma) still abides along the side of my back yard. Yup, the wood sheathing went away. The 1×3 frames are pretty much still there, but some warping and dry rot. Are you considering changing your name to Hollywood Haunter Horders!?! That's how it feels here. Like you guys, I can't get rid of anything related to our haunt. Great video. I'm glad to see you making building videos again. You've always inspired me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

For shadowing with the airbrush, look into black acrylic inks. They can be thinned down quite a bit so a little goes a long way.

The Witch House! And Grave Rock Gulch! So nostalgic! 🖤 I know you guys have giant pumpkins vids but I’d bet you have improved methods a little since the inception, would love to see new ones! Ahh airbrush clogs never end! I bet the interwebs has various ratios or recipes for latex, but I agree on certain colors clogging faster than others! Giant pain!

Ya we need to do some research on the paint ratios and we also want to try some different hard coating products that may be faster than fiber glassing the pumpkins and not get super expensive.

Great update on your prop building progress for Winchester and beyond. What alternate method would you suggest to hard coat foam builds and props if a haunter wanted to avoid going the fiberglass route? Do you have a 2nd favorite technique to suggest in terms of durability in both seasonal display and storage... including materials to accomplish the coating? If you have a specific video recording such a technique (among your hundreds uploaded!), please give me a clue to search for it. Thanks, and keep on building! You two are always a creative and construction inspiration.

Try Tamiya paints, you can thin them with isopropyl alcohol. You will have to mix for custom colors. Or ModelAir paints. If you don't want to mix they have a huge variety of colors. Except, have to use their thinner.

Do you filter/strain your paint? Even the smallest of particulate can clog up an airbrush. It's nice to see all this stuff because it confirms that there is someone else out there who is crazier than I am when it comes to Hallowe'en... Only 66 days 'til!...
