What a fun video to create for you all ! This process is an ancient Japanese technique called Shou Sugi Ban. This process just slightly burns the outside of the wood and creates a unique charred finish. This actually makes the wood stronger, and more resistant to rot! I like the sounds better than a wood burning fireplace. How about you?
To get started I acquired some large wooden pallets and created a wall. From there I set up a propane torch, and attached my new Go Pro 12 to the end of the torch. This gives you a first person point of view of the flames slowly dancing at 40% slow motion. This creates a relaxing visual aid that will help you fall asleep! In each of my sleep videos you'll notice a constant theme of an amplified lower end sonic appeal. This maximizes the depth of each sound, while minimizing sounds considered to be antithetical to relaxation. To create these relaxing sleep masterpieces I use a variety of equipment such as a Nikon D7500, a Tascam DR 100, and other unique sleep components indicative to this channel.
