I can tell you as an ex-pitcher who has caught 3 line drives hit directly at me, it is absolutely terrifying. These guys play it cool because being macho is part of the game, but I can guarantee their heart is about to pop out of their chests.
Well Wade, if you had actually had 3 comebackers, you'd know that the playing it cool is actually you still being in shock of almost becoming a vegetable
So many good plays, a lot of the goal tenders in particular. But any pitches that catches that line drive straight to the skull has a special place in my heart. Not just reflexes, but survival instincts. Lord knows theres been more than a few fallen to a ball to the dome.
You don't know what God is doing but someday you will know repent and turn away from your sin and follow Jesus Christ and put your faith in him and he loves you and so do I no matter what your going through God is right there with you no matter what your going through or did or do he loves you and so do I
I personally think the defensive plays are more impressive than the offensive ones because you have to either react or predict what the person is going to do, the offense have practice it a ton
@@dominicpancella3012 Yeah, but there were more slapshots than jukes here. I could understand if they included players evading tackles, some mid-air taps or more crazy saves, but instead; some slapshots and basketball buzzer-beaters. Also, these aren't even close to the best saves, slapshots or jukes in the last 5 years, let alone last couple of decades. Datsuk alone had a career of highlights like the ones shown. Even though the pitcher catching the return ball is *crazy* impressive; it could've been more of other sports, including the ones that are excluded for some reason...
Some other cool ones are Vasilevskiy's behind the back glove save, Ichiro literally climbing walls in the outfield, Fernandez catching that line drive, and the most recent Zegras to Milano alley oop goal.
Dude with the ball is literally pointing at the grass and didn't throw to the third baseman because the runner dived onto the grass and should've been automatically out. What a ridiculous call
What's crazy is this type of stuff is exactly why professional sports are a thing. You don't react the way a pitcher does or move the way a receiver does if you don't do these things day in and day out. Truly remarkable what we're capable of.
You're NOT wrong. The man could stop AND start on a dime, & frequently made all-time moves just to get back to the line of scrimmage because his o-lines were usually so bad.
Is it just me or are all of the basketball clips a bit lackluster? I'm just not as impressed with what people think are crazy plays in basketball. I think the amount and variation of skill in football, baseball and hockey leave me feeling like most basketball players are simply really tall dudes with the ability to accurately throw a ball in a hoop they are naturally closer to. It reminds me of if a bunch of short dudes had to keep each other from dropping a golf ball into the cup, but without contact, ice and the edge of the green was the boundary for play.
@justsayin._. omg the idolization of players like LeBron... BayBron would be gassed, outclassed and out-assed against a choose-one player from the 90s. You can't be in the conversation for "greatest of all time" if you can't hit even the rim on every free-throw, especially with both eyes open. These cats nowadays only say what they say because they weren't there to see it done better.
These are some amazing clips. What would've made them even better Is the name of the amazing player who made the highlight have his name in the corner of the screen. Great Great stuff.
I better see Wes Welker's Superbowl 51 catch vs Atlanta, where he readjusted and grabbed it just before it hit the ground. Edit: Didn't see it but I did get the Tim Thomas save in the Stanley Cup Finals vs Vancouver I was hoping for. You can't get them all but Welker was a big one, at a big moment. And it does fit. Great video. Thanks.
Kerryon Johnson had ALL the potential to be our next franchise RB and one of the best in the NFL, he was awesome. But he was plagued with injuries. I also believe he kind of got used up in college. He was Auburn's workhorse... loved to watch him play. Such a bummer
When I was a pitcher the ball was hit right at me only once and I was fortunate enough to catch it, I had a friend who wasn't so lucky, all summer long my bro had a scar that matched the stitches of the ball lol looked like he had a half of a mustache
Back in my softball league days, my friend Bill was pitching. I got ahold of one and it was probably going to be a home run, but as it went right over Bill's head, he snagged it out of the air. Onlookers said it was like he pitched then immediately reached up and snatched it out of the air above his head in one continuous movement...lol. Unfortunately, it also had so much velocity behind it that the ball broke his ring finger inside the glove.
@@tmorris9330 You should probably reacquaint yourself with units of measurement as I'm guessing you have the same issue with measuring in inches as well if you think he was "8 ft outside the (6 foot area) he has to work with
Martavis Bryant... I was so pissed about how his career went but seeing the Raiders bust with Henry Ruggs, Damon Arnette, Lynn Bowden, and Alex Leatherwood makes it a lot better.
Its crazy how at 1 point or another the chiefs had Jamaal Charles dexter mccluster deanthony Thomas and tyreek hill I guess this was what the raiders was trying to do Pitchers catching comebacks will never get old
@@stuartsiglain3972 It's a comment on a RU-vid video. If this was school writing assignment, it would be a different story. Regardless of my obvious run on sentences, you understood the point. Thank you though.
At least the Raiders had Darrius Haywood-Bey & Fabian Washington. And Bo Jackson in the 80s for a minute...that one was real. Up above were busts, just like DeAnthony Thomas & McClure were mostly busts.
