We were in Clarksville. Our home was spared with minor damage to roof and glass. We took shelter in our barn. We had 2 chickens in the yard. They got sucked up in the tornado. We saw them circling through the air and they were squawking like crazy, until we couldn't see them anymore. We are hoping someone found our chickens. R.I.P. chickens

This was a compilation that does better than most. It shows replays of key moments in the clips, and best of all, the narrator gives a good bit of data with each one, detailing location, size, speed, duration of track, and damage/casualty estimates. The information adds a LOT to these clips. Thanks to the Compiler, and also thanks to all the Original Videographers for there efforts!

Clarksville tornado was on december 9th not 8th. There was another tornado that hit to the east in Nashville that was ef2 and it destroyed alot of homes and businesses in Madison and Hendersonville, my work included. The tornado shown as the Clarksville tornado at 21:34 is actually the one in Madison and this clip was about 5 mins before it leveled my work. On the last video, the film of the actual tornado is from Madison TN. The explosion is from a Nashville Electric substation getting hit and the transformers blowing up. 6:23 When you see a tornado approaching, NEVER stand next to a window or a doorway, let alone try to hold said doorway shut. It's a losing battle. Kim's VERY lucky she had her husband there to pull her back inside as she was being sucked out, and I'm surprised she even managed to hold onto the camera. If she got sucked out of the building, it would've been very unlikely that she would've survived being shredded by debris then thrown from hundreds of yards in the air.

22:28 I think it was actually the oil from the transformer, if the oil is overheated or sprayed into the air it is highly flammable, when the transformer exploded it must have spread oil into the air and with the short circuit it ignited, and created this fireball. This explains the black smoke, because when oil burns it releases very black smoke.

I think it's likely because the Tornado "recycled" right around SW 7th where it skewed north then B-lined to the east, which explains the hospital getting annihilated instead. Warren did take some cosmetic damage / roofing but it was extremely lucky that the tornado didn't just mow it down, as it was dead center on track to do so. Some damage path graphics show it way better than i can explain, but literally looks like Warren was avoided on purpose

One of the craziest tornado stories, I have ever heard happened a few decades ago in my city. A guy from our church gets a knock on his door after the tornado is over. The guy at his door was in shock. He had been driving down the road and saw the tornado in his rear view mirror. He knew cars were a very bad place to be, so he pulled over beside a fenced in pasture. He found a drainage pipe and laid down in it. The tornado went right over top of him. He crawled out when it was all over and found his car sitting perfectly ok, except for one small problem. His car was now on the other side of the fence in the pasture. It had a few minor scratches and needed new tires, once they managed to get it out of the field. It is really sad to me that so many people needlessly put their lives and the lives of others in danger just to get a video. Please stop doing this. In a tornado or any other bad weather, take shelter immediately. A viral TikTok is not worth your life.

My husband's cousins were from Clarksville and it just made me sad to see them affected by the loss and devastation and even a girl i grew up with, who is now living in Clarksville it was so scary to know that she was in the middle of it. Thankfully her and her fiance are safe and the tornado missed them only by a little bit

I wonder if the Great Lakes do anything with the weather where the bodies of water could like sorta "protect" people close to them. IM an hour south of lake Erie and we never get tornadoes. like once a decade. and only e1 or e2 never higher than e2. I tell u what though I've seen the clouds turn DARK olive gelreen before, and it got QUIET. we were like 10 and 11 yrs old, every parent on the streets like GET INSIDE! the sirens sounded and we waited, it even started hailing. but no tornado. That's the last time I saw green sky so about 29 yrs ago. it was seriously weird as fckk even as a kid it scared me when I heard how our moms were screaming😅

@@FukcAUsername dude ur lucky as HELL are u serious? isn't Gary like towards the middle of the state too? I'm from Cleveland so I'm only a stones throw from ya, we just had tornadoes in OHIO, like 4 of em the other night when it was bad? only 3 deaths in the country and all 3 of em were Ohio residents. shits crazy dude we NEVER worry Abt tornadoes last time there was even one CLOSE to my city I was a year old it was 1985. I've seen the sky turn green but only once I was in 6th grade, and I swear to God those clouds had to have been going a hundred miles an hour dude.... the wind stopped for a second , everything got quiet and my dudes mom yelled at all us kids to get home NOW so we got on our bikes n boards n got the fck home lol I was scared dude I never seen dark puke green clouds before and I DEFINITELY never seen clouds moving that quick either! 💯 shit was tense, I couldn't imagine living in tornado Alley tho, even like Kansas or Nebraska, I know they get hit. yo does Colorado ever get hit bad? I'd think w the mountains it could like stop em from happening there. is that how they work?

I have nightmares about tornadoes on the regular. When I moved to my previous apartment a funnel cloud was spotted just a block away from my place that I was still getting used to. The siren went off three times. My late cat was annoyed because I took her in the bathroom with me. Thankfully it never touched down.

Having lived through a EF-1 tornado myself as a child when i was in 4th grade, was a traumatizing experience and I NEVER discount the seriousness of any severe storms as they pass. One dropped on our farm and in about only 8 seconds destroyed many of our outbuildings, garages, camper, damaged vehicles, etc. Thankfully not as strong as many tornadoes out there. The house was spared and we made it out OK.

The day of that tornado breakout in Arkansas, my son was traveling to a baseball tournament. Called me at work to scream that they were huddled in the stairway of their hotel while sirens blared and then the call disconnected. Thankfully it missed them but it scared the hell out of me. Same tornado destroyed a chunk of Wynne soon after that.

21:09 The footage shown wasn't from Clarksville, but a town just north of Nashville, TN. The explosion was caused by the tornado going over an electrical substation and igniting a volatile part on one of the generators, causing the whole complex to explode. I have a friend who lives in Clarksville, and was even on a Discord call with them as it tore through the town. The storm passed less than a mile away from his house, close enough that if he drove to the end of his neighborhood's road he would've been inside the storm. He's alright and his house was fine, but it was far too close for comfort. As for the 2021 EF3, I used to live in Tennessee at the time around the Memphis area. I remember the storm that I think later became the Nashville EF3 passing over my house early in the morning. We had two tornado warnings in a week with that storm.
