Wow, car looks really balanced even in the wet conditions - must be a blast to drive. You kept your confidence under braking even after going off early. Also, great save!
Great video Dirk! Hopefully the car wasn’t damaged but I’m glad you didn’t hit a wall or get slammed by another car. That recovery was epic and pure skill 😎
dude i cannot WAIT to see your throttle control, i also believe it was a racing incident since it was wet and he was kinda forced to the curb so he couldnt do much but im sure nothing was intentional here
NICE recovery!!! Man that was slick! Thanks for the ride-along and commentary! What a great way you did picking your line, worked out so well (cornering inside and avoiding curbs). Very nicely done!
Great POV, Dirk, i know, we have to face the difficulties/consequences in certain situations like this Spielburg race, but you still got the hang of it which is a thing i want to see in every POV as much as you can bud, but if you manage to fail that, dont worry, KEEP GOING!
Its these conditions that show just how massive IRL driver's balls really are. And that spin recovery...more skillz than luck IMO. Love your immersive vids man. Keep em coming!
Nice work recovering from that spin. How difficult is it to race in those conditions? Looks like visibility is tough and makes it hard to decide what line to take.
Thanks! It’s really tricky, more tricky than you would think. No ABS is the worst to control. You lockup so fast. The lines are almost always off the normal racing line. The spray is even worse in real time and very hard to see depth.
Omg, I'm excited to watch the full video. I'll be honest, usually I just watch F1, but you're convincing me to watch all your races hahahahaa. And I think it was a bit of luck mixed with A LOT OF SKILL. I'm your fan.
In these conditions I'd be only concerned with keeping the car one piece, let alone thinking of overtaking. Wow. For the spin, It was luck there was that extra bit of tarmac there to allow you to use the skill- bit of both then xD . Keep it up!
Pov + wet race? Sign me up for front row seat🥶 Anyway good video Dirk as always.. I can't wait to watch the full video #GoDS57 .. Ignore the hashtag it just crossed my silly mind for a moment🤣
I believe it has to do with skills. Started to try to control, then just let it go and see where the car wants to go, then just clean up the mess and go. You have the calm mind needed to manage such a nice dance on the track. =)
Awesome video men!! I'm a simracer, porsche driver, gt3 and cup... i dream to be here one day.... Thx for sharing this with us!!! I have a little question. Right after the "spin recovery (well done btw 😛) The Hazard mode coming up on your dashboard. What is it? I mean, it's an alarm, yes, but what kind? Anti stall mode?
Sick Tandem Reverse Entry into that Corner (hopefully the guy behind is okey too). Have you guys talked about this after and if so what did the other driver say?
I feel like if i knew how to use the gears then id be a good driver. I know almost all turns youre plannning to make and i know why you are making every move you make. Edit: gives me chills watching you. I love it. Thank you. Question. If you ever see this. How did you start out?
A question,it bugs me a lot and I'm a racing fan. When you line up for the start, how do you know that you are exactly in the start box where you need to be? Do one of your mechanic gives you a sign or you just feel it?
I’m currently looking forward to become a professional racer but I don’t know where to start. Any tips that may help me advance through out this process?
