i’m not sure if it’s in this book as it’s not wildly crazy of a border but there’s a tiny town in the united states called point roberts which can only be accessed by driving through canada. a lot of canadians living in greater vancouver have p.o. boxes there since there’s a lot of companies that only ship to the us or have much cheaper shipping. i believe there’s a few other border enclaves like this one, such as in minnesota and i think vermont, because they really did use the 49th parallel as a hard border.

Yes, I saw a video about the US/Can border and weird peculiarities about it. I might do some research and make a video on that topic as it is quite cool - thx!

I plan on visiting Wales either this year or next summer, and you have contributed largely to the desire, what cities ( planning to go to at the least 3) would you suggest? I enjoy nature and would love to learn about the history. Would be greatly appreciative if you can get back, thanks. You’re still my favorite ASMR channel, keep it up. 👍🏻

It really depends what you want to do, it would take you around 5hrs to go from South to North Wales so keep that in mind in terms of where you want to go. I'd suggest Cardiff as it's the capital and gives you an idea of the metropolitan side of Wales, Aberystwyth is also a city I'd go to, it's in Mid Wales and has loads of culture. I'm from North Wales so I'm quite biased and think that you can't go wrong with Snowdonia and exploring the surrounding area and the heading over to the North West coast and going over to Ynys Mon and then down to Aberdaron. However if you were to stick to the South then the Bannau (Brecon Beacons) and walking up Pen Y Fan would be an experience, and then you could head over to South West Wales and the coast. The further you go from England, the more Welsh it is (North and West especially) and personally I'd say the culture is different depending on where you are. If you like books then Hay on Wye is technically Wales and is officially known as the book town from the amount of bookshops and the annual festival they do.

@@robertstesni Thank you. I did not realize it took 5 hours, and I definitely want to experience the real culture of wales. I definitely will visit the north and the west, and also if any metropolitan area I was to visit, definitely would be Cardiff. I also do really enjoy reading so for sure will check it out. I appreciate hearing from a Welsh citizen and will keep all this in mind.

What the book failed to mention about the borders of Morocco, is that Morocco’s claim to the sahara is not based on the phosphate bc the region is not really that rich in phosphate, most of it is only dry areas and sand. The claim of Morocco is based on the fact that for a very large period of history (hundreds of years) before the colonization, western sahara was always a part of the kingdoms and empires of Morocco, and there was no such thing as a sahrawi republic or independent kingdom or country at all, the sahraouis are also moroccans, and the majority of people who live there now are sahrawis unlike what the book says. And for the issue of referendum, The reason why Morocco refuses to hold one is bc of the difficulty to pick who get to vote and who doesn’t, because of the fact that the so called « refugees » big part of them are people paid and supported by algeria(the historical enemy of Morocco). Other that I love your videos and I always enjoy watching them.
