Grubba is the perfect unrepentant villain and his transformation comes out of nowhere

Funny thing about the boss in this chapter, he's able to do up to 17 damage if unprepared.

Ooooh, do you like Professor Layton, Zorrin? You figured out the truth about Jolene and Grubba on your own, before the in-game reveal, so I figured I'd give confirmation you were correct while asking about one of my favorite game series. I love puzzle, adventure, mystery, and story driven games, and the Prof Layton series has all of that in spades. Actually, when watching Chapter 6 of TTYD for the first time, I was reminded of "Pandora's Box/The Diabolical Box" at many turns. Grubba is an example of a vain washed-up athlete who refuses to age gracefully. Why else would he suck the vigor and vitality of fighters who "went missing" when they found out too much or thought about quitting? The difference between Grubba, and others of this villain type, is that he introduces the fact that the Crystal Stars know neither good nor evil, simply existing as tools of power to be used as the user sees fit. That makes them SUPER DANGEROUS.

I'm glad you were suspicious about the cakes since you didn't talk to the guy upstairs. The guy upstairs tells you about some past stuff like how Rawk Hawk gave Prince Mush a cake before they're match

I really love the way it looks when Prince Mush comes back in this version, kinda makes it looks like a full-on resurrection, last time he just kinda got unceremoniously spat out of the Gold Star. Then again, the Crystal Star with the most overpowered Special in the game would probably be the one most likely to resurrect someone (no, the Special isn't resurrection)

Definitely the best chapter I’ve played so far! The Rawk Hawk and Macho Grubba battles were amazing! Also, I think Grubba is my favorite antagonist so far, not only being the unrepentant evil source of this gripping conspiracy, but also showing the kind of power the Crystal Stars have and the danger they pose in the wrong hands. Fun fact: If you don’t eat the poisoned cake, the Shellshocker Koopa eats it. Great video Zorrin!😁👍❤️

this arc shows the potential of a paper mario game that most havnt lived up till now. the closest one being orgiami king and classic

according to the paper mario thousand year guide book that came out during the gamecube games release, grubbas race are supposed to get bigger the stronger and older they get ( look at chapter 3s boss from classic paper mario for example ) basicly he used the crystal star to artifical strength which is why he got so big
