I like the manner in which you did this makeover; working with what he already had, adding a few touches here and there and it made it look like an entirely new place. side note: I wish you ironed the fabric for the projector screen and made it a bit bigger.

"Rêveuse" is the feminine form of the word "dreamer". For a boy, it should have been "rêveur". Ah, foreign langages ;) The art is nice, though. The projection sheet was very fitting for this student, that's cool. Oh my, these windows...

Its actually not a "foreign language" they're Canadian so its a national language. (It was still a weird choice though lol!)

Well, I'm not Canadian so I won't pretend to be an expert on whether the majority of Canadians (those not from Quebec) do consider "Canadian French" as a national language but it is very obvious here that neither of them speak French (or maybe the student knew but didn't want to embarrass them on camera). Is there a better word to say "langage that is foreign to you (that you don't speak)"? I'd actually like to know, to improve my English vocabulary ;) Not sure what you meant by "weird choice", though. The word "rêveuse" (not a choice, here, but a mistake as I said) or to choose a word in French? French seems to be quite popular in English-speaking countries to add a "cool factor" to something (just as we do here with English, even more so often, seriously, English is everywhere!) so I don't think it's that surprising.

Meanne77 okay so clearly you are very passionate about this holy cow. Weird choice meant the choice to make it feminine. They likely know enough French to choose the right word because Ontarian’s study it for a minimum of 6 years lmao but ok

I'm from Quebec, it's true that if the dorm room is for the man seen in the video it would be a mistake, and yes french in a national language in Canada ^^. That beeing said, althought I know ontarians have to learn french, it is when they are fairly young and the majority of the "english speaking canadians" I've met throught the years don't really remember much of it and they sure have a hard time with feminine and masculine (To their defense, they don't really use it) ^^. Some of my friends roughly understood when I spoke to them in french but they couldn't speak themselves, mostly because of the grammar :) But yeah, maybe it was intended for a girl or maybe the man indentifies as a girl or I don't know, I'm pretty sure they knew what they were doing because if you type "dreamer" on a traduction website, they usualy give you "rêveur" in the masculine form first.

Manal Choudhry actually this isnt a DIY this is a makeover the only DIY was the movie screen and the shoe wrack other that everything was store bought. Painting a flower pot is something a child could propably do.

Reyna Roman Uummm are you agreeing or disagreeing. The other person was saying anyone can paint a flower pot (children included) and not only did they make the shoe rack and the projector, they made the letters. This is a makeover that includes diys, It can be both. Also the title says makeover not diys.

Great idea for the projector screen but what is he supposed to do with a crinkly screen? The most important things in a screen are thats it's clean white and a perfectly smooth surface. Otherwise he could have just used his wall. Sorry but this was a miss.

You could have easily stretched the fabric over cardboard or something. The room looks amazing, it's just the screen that bugs me.

The wrinkles you see in the end are caused by how it's stretched across the dowels since the stitches aren't perfectly horizontal and even. Easiest and cheapest projector screen is just a standard white blind (from Ikea...). :)

Actually, "dreamer" in French is "rêveur" for a guy. Saying "rêveuse" means that the one that's dreaming is a woman! :) Though, the room looks very good! Good job!

I was blown away with the final look. Love the dark blue color scheme, and how you turned the blow-up sofa into something more fab. I can use that as an example for my sofa. I really like how you've started a series like this. Dorm makeovers just seems so much less intimidating than watching whole house/apartment makeovers. They always feel like you have to break an arm or a leg just to get it nice looking, but these videos makes room makeovers seem like a breeze.
