Just imagine being trapped in your body and seeing your companions thinking you are dead and burying you alive. Urh even the thought gives me goosebumps.
@@mellohi6175 I wasn't saying that I know everything 😑 just to stop being so naive when it comes to human nature and power. Stop saying things I didn't said 🙄 And for instance watch the Alexander movie with Colin Farrel, they're fighting like bastards over his dying body at the end of the film. It's most likely historically accurate.
Crazy how him shouting he was a child of Zeus and a demigod is why that happened. If they thought he was just human, they would’ve tried to figure out more what was wrong
My brother just betrayed me in V-rising after i got us all the high end gear. Might need an army too. Any volunteers? (Looking at you alexander)The pay would be 20 silvercoins a week.
But our indian records doesn't have any mentioned about king porus or king Alexander, and there's no such records in indian history that this war had took place. Indian records do have mentioned about SELUCUS NICATOR and KING CHANDRAGUPTA MAURYA but indian records doesn't have any records about king Alexander or king porus which mean that such never happened because all we have is only greek records and narrations but we dont have any indian records of such king or war. And remember, that the greek were racist at that time and they hated indian a lot so maybe they created a fake story about alexander claiming that he defeated king porus because at that time INDIA had 33% gpd and was dominating the entire colonists. Other possibility is that maybe king porus had defeated Alexander and the greek doesn't wanted that their reputation to be tarnished so thats why maybe they created a falsely history claiming Alexander has defeated king porus. Remember that we Indians had created a war martial arts called kalaaripayattu which were used in battlefield and its the mother of all martial arts in the same vein it was practiced by all indian king so and that time the greek didn't had any martial arts, all they know was sword throwing or pankration(wrestling type). So it would be very difficult for Alexander and his army to defeat king porus and his army as they were experts in kalaaripayattu which is a deadly martial arts. IF YOU WANT MORE USEFULL AND RATIONAL INFORMATION, THEN I RECOMMEND YOU TO GO ON RU-vid AND VIEW KEERTHI HISTORY CHANNEL. SEARCH FOR THE VIDEO "THE TRUTH UNCOVERED BETWEEN ALEXANDER AND PORUS" YOU WILL FIND OUT THE TRUTH.
Alexander was presented with knot in a foreign land. Alexander said: What can not be untied, shall be cut. Meanwhile what is said on video have source : i made it bro
Mate this can work two ways, for Alexander it worked out, being the son of Philip II and born into a Royal family, for many filling them with toxic ambition will just overburden them with expectations which they will never fulfill and never truly enjoy any achievements they ever had. Alexander, Caesar, Napoleon, Genghis Khan and similar rulers were some of the greatest men to live, we cannot expect this to happen to every normal child out there.
Instant karma tbh when he was asked who is the vast of his empire as the new emperor he said "to the strongest" and started a war that will fucken last 50 years mf really deserved that .
He was also told by one of his teachers, Aristotle to strive to be the best Also also, in his youth, he absolutely loved the stories of Cyrus the Great, The one who won the Persians their empire
Yep And he had a dream that Hercules pointed to him, then pointed to Tyre (the Phoenician capital and one of the Persians’ last naval strongholds) as if beckoning him to invade (correct me if I’m wrong)
No question that he was fearless, he was seriously wounded in battle a dozen times and would frequently lead his troops. He was utterly brilliant and as lucky as it gets. That does in fact make him great, this guy is one where the term 'great' actually applies.
If the universe then balanced out his luck in life by having him buried alive, then I'm suddenly very grateful that I often have either no luck or as much bad luck as good luck regularly.
@@gordonramsdalewhat??? That makes no sense cuz story wouldn’t be any different😂like obviously the people who win r going to be the ones to record it. And there is literally hard evidence all over the world to supper history
Hahaha that's hilarious. You don't think the victorious wouldn't be biased in their recording? Or maybe even lie completely? Have you heard of propaganda? Napoléon: ' history is a set of lies that have been agreed upon'@@ballsballsballs3617
When he got invited to a fest by the Celts and asked what do you think about Alexander the Great and they said we don't fear him or death because we can come back for more one way or another. Alexander was so amazed by this thought he made a treaty with them not to fight them but use them as scouts.
Alexander conquered much of the known world in his late 20s and always led battles in front of his army and was never defeated. If he’s not a main character i dont know what is
This was before physicians learned to take a pulse or check for breathing. They used to just ask someone if they were still alive, and if they didn't reply or didn't speak the language, they were buried.
Not sure if it's the same time period but i also read somewhere once that to check the dead, they would pierce through the inbetween of your nose. Because apparently that would hurt so bad, if you weren't dead you'd wake up from it. It's an interesting thought, seeing as he's paralyzed he probably couldn't have reacted
@@xoluciaxo_3721 That's interesting. This technique is used for cattle (cows and camels), a string is passed through their nasal septum and attached to their halter. Which enables the handler to simply grab the halter and pull on it to control the animal if they act out of line.
@xoluciaxo_3721 that's ironic considering septum piercings are known to have a sweet spot where if done right you should feel next to nothing and even if you feel pain it's one of the least painful
In our history books which I studied at school, it is said that Alexander asked to be buried with one hand outside his bier. And the meaning of this is " I conquered nearly half of the world and now I am dying, what I have now. All the things that I have, can't be with me after I die, he said".
It makes me wanna choke who ever tf came up with the idea of saying that , We have no right to judge them while we can't even control our own actions as we are glued to phones
Mine too, the ambitious, brave and a bit cruel mother like her, anyone would want to be her offspring if they want to have a legacy of conquest 💯🤘😅 As only the ones who have strong team members win often then the ones who have weak team members And of course you yourself should also be strong

He did try to untie the not. He just realized immediately that it was impossible so he took out the sword cuz that’s how his mind worked, nothing was going to stop him he would just come up with a different idea
It was thanks to believing that he was the son of Zeus that Iskandar was so successful. He felt unbeatable so he led from the front majority of the time, likewise he inspired many because of it. He firmly believed he was the son of Zeus and so did the others.
What if he was the son of Zeus I mean the Greek gods could have Been real people that weren’t actually gods but famous politicians but back then there was no politics it was just religion religion was politics back then so these “gods” could have just been regular people that used there status to make the simple folk think they were superior and “gods” but they were just normal politicians

As a former history major and current military history teacher at my alma mater, accuracy in historical claims is important to me. I must express my disagreement with how this channel presented this THEORY that Alexander was buried alive as a result of severe paralysis caused by Barré syndrome. This claim is baseless and irresponsible to present as fact. To be clear, the idea that Alexander died of Guillain-Barré syndrome is a theory, not a fact. Any channel that claims to focus on history that suggest otherwise or fails to make it crystal clear that the theory presented in this video, is just that. A theory. May not be a reliable source of information There are various conflicting explanations pertaining to the passing of Alexander and we cannot be confident about the exact circumstances of his demise. It is completely illogical to assume that we can accurately diagnose Alexander the Great's medical health and cause of death as an extremely uncommon and complex neurological disorder that is hard to identify, even presently. Therefore, this channel must not present it as a factual statement since this is merely a theory that many consider incredulous and unverifiable. Furthermore, we are discussing one of the rarest ailments in medical history. We cannot precisely determine Alexander the Great's symptoms, much less assert that they resulted from one of the rarest disorders, which predominantly affects 50-year-olds and above and is a gradual process of paralysis that takes weeks, occasionally months, to even attain the most severe phases of the condition, contingent on the patient. From the day Alexander the Great died, people have been searching for accurate information about the circumstances of his death. However, those who study his death will find that there are many accounts of what happened, and they often differ from one another. This is why there may never be a clear answer to how he died. Historians or history channels that suggest one specific rare medical condition as the cause of his death show a lack of understanding of history rather than being knowledgeable about it. I have actually enjoyed this channel's other videos which is why this particular video is so disappointing.
Sadly most channels' goal is to bring a shock factor and they dont particarly care how accurate it is. Tho at least it seems this channel leaves their sources behind, which you cannot say for most
@@xoluciaxo_3721 yes but seeing as even the source at the very top of the page makes sure to let the reader know that this is a theory and an arbitrary one at that. Where as this channel literally presents it as fact. The video is not at all staying true to the source it’s using. I absolutely agree that most channels go for a shock value for views. But it’s videos like this that make the already serious problem of historical ignorance that we are seeing more and more of. That much worse. I’m sure you have read many of the comments on this video. People are taking this “Theory” as fact. It’s just so irresponsible to present what is an arbitrary theory that most historians roll their eyes at every time it’s brought up. As fact. And this video does present it as fact.
This is not the first time that this channel has presented unverifiable information, so I'm not even surprised. I've seen many other "history" channels do the same. They probably seek attention and views, which ultimately causes people to believe in their misinformation. That's the sad part about history. We don't always know what's true and what's not.
@@Zapatozi Absolutely and it is becoming a huge problem. I don’t think many people realize how misunderstanding the past affects the present and shapes the future. And almost always in a negative way. I’m glad I’m not the only person calling this kind of thing out though. And that is also something more of us need to do going forward.
What if his doctors knew he was still alive. When they informed the generals Alexander was still alive. The generals were like: "Nah bury his momma boy ass" 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Once, while philosopher Diogenes was sunning himself, Alexander came up to him and offered to grant him any request. "Stand out of my light," he replied. (There are many other references to this incident, principally Plutarch, Life of Alexander, XIV.1-5.)
They should have casted Henry Cavill in the 2004 film instead of Colin Farrell. He was great in the Immortals and The Tudors. Even these Ai depictions look like him but blonde.
@@sucrecalderon…I believe him being gay was hugely speculated by a couple historians. He had MANY reported sexual encounters with women and married to 3 of them, though.

He really is though, all those Great people that were named in history are all MCs on their respected timeline. Alexander - Ancient Greece. Julius - Rome. Qin - Chinese Empire. Genghis - Mongolia. Napoleon - France and so on. You on the other hand is a sideline NPC. 😂
Alexander upon meeting Diogenes: - Alexander: "if I weren't Alexander I would wish to be Diogenes" - Diogenes: "If I weren't Diogenes I would also wish to be Diogenes"
This is a amazing parable if something in your life is causing you trouble and you can’t get rid of it cut it off and flee from it for example a bad relationship or friendship 😁

Thank you! This RU-vidr trying to pass himself off as a historian is getting on my nerves. He may have been briefly entombed by Ptolemy but then his body was dragged all over the place.
What Alexander did by cutting the knot is exactly what Kird when he beat that Kobinashi rue test. I know I mispelled that test. It was supposed to be a no-win scenario and Kirk's idea was totally unorthodox. But they declared he passed the test. Even 7 of Nine said that sometimes cheating is more efficient.
well given the Zeus' reputation of being unfaithful, pervert, characterless and killer of his own sons he might have really been Alexander's father and his mother was right .
I don't think doctors were dumb to the point that they couldn't figure out if someone had a pulse or was breathing. If he truly was alive, he was non-conscious with no chance of survival at most.

The battle between the Indian Hindu king Porus and Alexander led to a treaty between the two. Alexander stayed on the banks of the Jhelum river for a long time. After a few days, Alexander's health deteriorated and he returned.❤❤😊
