Awesome new RGT 1/10 Scale RC Crawler. This thing has some really nice features, and crawls very well with the new transfer box/split transmission. The New FTX Outback High Rock will be the same chassis/set up as this 86010, but with a much cooler body!

So it doesn't come with a winch, and it was missing the seat backs. But this thing drives and handles really well! Loads of flex, plenty of wheel speed and power from the 550 Brushed motor. 60a ESC, 15kg steering servo with lots of metal! Including metal gears.
I'll be giving this a full test and a RC Crawler track soon.

Good Review! I bought one just like it for my wife for Christmas 2022 (her choice) and so far it has only impressed us. For the price it's an R.C. with immense potential and already a lot of fun right out of the box. Simply changing the position/location of the battery did miracles in performance.

Need to 3d print chair backs and a nice grill move bumper forward but that could cause it catching at front. It's nice to see no body rub to.

Beautiful looking truck love the chassis layout the divorced transfer case is definitely the way to go. Looks like it performed good on the trails to. I do agree the front does look a lil flat. A nice 3d printed grill overlay and some nice light buckets would do a whole lot in the looks department.

It does state on the box that the winch have to be purchased separatly! It is only a 4 ch radio, that is why the 4th ch slider is disabled ( if it would be working it would have been as the Dumborc 5ch transmitter, not the 6 ch. The 6 ch has the rotating knobs instead of the push buttons!!) Otherwise an excellent video. Coukd imagine this chassie with a nicer body.

Yeah, on the box is a bit late to be telling people lol... but I kind of knew it wouldn't come with it. The Channels are marked on the Transmitter. And the buttons are marked ch5 &ch 6 on the top of this one. Yes, not a fan of the body.

It build wise does look like the EE Defender underneath! Obviously not licenced by jeep either that or its a replica of the Manhindra jeep type thingy from India! Nice review by the way buddy, looks like a nice cheap starter truck!

I only use nimh in my crawlers. A 7.4 5000mah probably gives me an hour of runtime in the scx10 and I always have enough power to climb anything. That flex is incredible tho!

In a crawler a nimh is fine really, lipo just gives you a bit of extra grunt when needed.

I like this - apart from the dodgy front end of the body, which I think could be improved with a pair of lexan scissors and a Dremel to open up the radiator slots (all nine, not just eight!), it seems pretty much all good, with those lovely scale wheels, great articulation and soft tyres, not to mention the crawler-grade esc.

@@TomleyRC In your shoes I´d be very tempted to snip away a narrow vertical strip from the area beneath each headlamp, to get away from the plain rectangular shape they sent you and make it look more Jeepified : )

The battery tray is mounted in the middle of the chassis on the transfer box in the "Rubicon" version. It's still high up but at least it's more central. I think it shows the mounting bracket in the picture on your box @ 1:24 . I guess this isn't possible if you have this jeep body because of the low cockpit. Did you find the seat backs. They're definitely in the picture on the website. Looks like a capable crawler, but at that price point it's got some serious competition. Good video though Phil 👍👍

Sadly I didn't find the seat backs. I notice RC Tanks & Trucks 24/7 has one for review and his has seat backs :(. I think even at this price point, it's very capable, metal gears, oil shocks, plenty of power etc... new body and maybe get that battery re positioned. 👌

RGT is really making a name themselves. They are making some good stuff. Kinda like ( don't laugh), WPL. I know. But, they're coming up in quality big time. Everything is replaceable. And so is RGT. I think they will in no time take away the place that the SCX now holds.

Looks nice. Chassis looks balanced enough for steep inclines. And that flex... Only thing is i dont like those body styles. Prefer a nicer and more detailed bodies. It just looks cheap, toyish and flimsy. Great review again...

This company has come a long way in the last few years! I have one of the early ones( shocks inside the frame, 380 motor). Is the front suspension 3 link & panhard or did I see 4 links up front?

still cant decide to get the ex86010 or ex86100 due to the better body and the wheel of ex86100. In your opinion which one has better potential to be upgraded? might decide based on that.. thanks

Have a look at the EX86110, it has the longer wheelbase, and the front mounted motor. You can also get a JK Bodied 86010. Definitely get one with the motor/transfer case like this one

Yeah I noticed that too. You actually show where it says it on the box as soon as you realized it. And all companies put aftermarket parts on the box art so you can see what it would look like with it. If it was supposed to come with the truck they would have put that in the specs.

You don't test slow crawl with car up in the air...this engine is way too fast for this build and its useless for crawling. You can see that easily on other reviews.

There are plenty of points through out this video where you can see the 'slow' crawl ability. Don't compare this to a $400-$600 Crawler....it's less than $250, and very capable
