CRAZY FUN RIDE | Horse Swapping Goes Badly | Who Falls Off!! 

Apologies no ski vlog for those that asked, I thought it was a little close to the last ski trip and actually enjoyed not using my camera for a week 😘 was lovely to return in time for this SUPER FUN Ride Though!!

This is my first time commenting. I'm a 76 year old rider in the Sierra Nevada foothills of northern California. My fun rides look more like climbing granite in a Western saddle and ending up for lunch at a beautiful high country lake. But I was born in Winchester and long to return for an English style fun ride! Thanks so much for your videos.

Hunter paces and fun rides is where we started our eventing journey 😍 They are the best!

Ah, fun rides 😊 Last time I did one, the organisers very wisely put me and my 15 year old TBX ex-Hunter in a group with 3 children on ponies and a semi professional jockey on a novice steeplechaser. The jockey and I soon got separated from the children and he gleefully told me he knew the country well, and where to find some “nice” hedges. As we set off across a large open field he seemed to be heading towards a reasonably low hedgerow so we tucked in behind; halfway across he changed direction and instead zoned in on a monstrous looking hedge (5 foot at the very least, but with a heck of a spread.) That moment when you are hovering between go or pull up, was decided for me when my horse pricked up his ears and lengthened his stride. Obviously the steeplechaser (ominously named Popeye) flew over it, and I thought my horse’s old hunting instinct was going to kick in so I concentrated on staying with him. At the very VERY last moment (actually a bit beyond it) he said no and plunged into the hedge, throwing me off. As I lay there shielding my head, he was jumping all around me and I noticed with shock that both front feet were entangled in a rusty section of iron fence that had been hidden in the hedge. I closed my eyes for a second to avoid getting battered with it, and when I opened them he was gone. We caught him on the other side of the field, in an agitated state; the fence section was gone and so were both his front shoes. I checked he was sound and managed to tidy up the remaining nails that were sticking out, then led him home. Thank goodness he was still sound when we got back, but next day he could barely move he was so stiff. Had him checked over, no damage, and after a couple of days he was fine. Very lucky escape.

This looked very fun and fast I can’t believe Addie showed the old man up but they were all good but I agree you all should definitely do more fun rides and pleasure rides they always look fun and they put no pressure on horse or rider like competition’s do you can all just have fun relax and go at your own pace so even if you have a big gap between show’s you could always pop a relaxing fun ride in because it also keeps them fit so thanks for sharing

Hi Tina. 💜 you're vlogs. Thank you for sharing. I've got another 3 weeks off riding witch is driving me nuts. I had an Emergency operation (keyhole) gallbladder and my appendix out as I was very poorly. Can't ride for upto 8 weeks been 5 weeks already can't wait till I'm back in the saddle. Hi i have a question about Banksy´s headshaking. Do Banksy allways do that? i dont know too much about horses but if its headshaking symdrom you shuld try and find out why.

I recently had a fall because my pony is cheeky and we have just had him for just over 6 months he bucks with me in the field and I haven’t done much cantering or trotting in the field so I wanted to trot him over and jump while my brother was leading me and he saw the jump and took off cantering with my brother and flew over the jump anf next thing I knew I was in the floor 😳
