When I was a kid my uncle kept goats and he thought having them around his children was good for a laugh too. What could go wrong right? Until one day when my cousin of about 6 years of age was walking across the yard with a bottle of soda in his hand, got butted from behind, and almost lost his eye. Keeping the goats and children together didn't seem like such a good idea after that day and my uncle stopped allowing it. But that's just one story. People can do whatever pleases them.

I can now watch videos of goats and chuckle, it wasn’t to long ago that I got over the trauma of a Billy goat almost killing me. When I was 12 we had a goat to keep the horses company. Billy and a pony Smokey were co-conspirators, always being bad in a cute and funny way. Mostly. One day Billy decided he didn’t want to wait for his food and backed me up to the feed room and butt me. He got some hard ones in, but I managed to hold him off. My daddy was up at the house and couldn’t hear my faint cries; but our OES dog heard, began marking and ran to me. His instinct kicked in and he saved my life. Dad got Billy and put him up. I went to the ER and while bruised no physical damage was done. On the other hand, I couldn’t even look at a goat until I decided to de-sensitize myself.
