Garry Knox mate right arm, shoulder and side of my back was absolutely cooked the next day. Stiff and sore, had to catch another GT just to loosen it up!
Mate you would have to knackered as hell catching all them gt's huge mackerel, if that were me who can't really catch fish bigger than 30cm on a good day I would have gone to sleep on the boat hahaha awesome job sammy can't wait for next Sundays episode

I have never caught a monster GT, but I have been present in the delivery room when my children were born. It would seem that both involve quite a lot of panting, grunting, strange noises and labored breathing. Thankfully I didn't hear any mention of sharks in the delivery room though 😁
Brett O'Leary not really sure to be honest mate. Was too busy trying to get my breath back or cast at an edge. It definitely calmed off the later it got in the day. 🍻🍻

It was a non lethal gaff shot. I must say it would be better to gaff it through the bottom and but it will swim off strong. It was released because big Spanish mackerel get cigateirior poisoning.
Hey mate, I don’t have an exact kg pressure. But I tighten it up to make it almost too hard to pull off the spool with one hand. Then if I need more I hold onto the spoil 👍👍
I hate catching G.T's, to much wear and tear on the body and equipment. My first and only on was caught on a charter boat using an old handline 80 lb without hand protection. Needless to say it took some time to haul in, and l also managed to capture 8 other lines in the process, once the pic's were done l had to jettison the fish. My hands took a beating with plenty of line cuts in the finger joints. Since then l've steered clear of Travelley's large and small and prefer to target table fish, thanks Sammy but you can keep all the GT's you want
wow you hate catching gts? my favorite fish to catch and the only one I try for now. fishing is al about the fight, oitherwise youd buy your fish at the supermarket
@@nicholassansone670 I'm not a " sports fisherman" but a food supplier and fishing offers me a brilliant way to unwind. I see it as different strokes for different folks, have a great day out, and bring home a good feed for the family, so why would l want to catch a fish which is less than brilliant to eat, uses up my time, money and physically wears on you. I prefer to eat fresh fish over farmed crap, and one good Span mack offers plenty of excitement and many packets of fresh fillets, cheers
@@nicholassansone670 I know what you mean, but for me these days with busted shoulders and back a GT would wither me in 2 minutes. So a gentler fish is now what l'm looking forward to once l regain my mobility. So l'll leave the "grander fish" to you young pups
