A crazy working life size LEGO pinball machine coming in at 1.7 feet wide and 3.5 feet long. My latest, biggest, baddest creation yet! I've been working on this machine for the past 7 months and after over a hundred hours of development, this is the end result. I hope you enjoy it! Don't forget to like 'n subscribe!

Thanks for the kind words! The idea came to me when I saw some people working up on a scissor lift.

Also, I love the fact you pointed out its flaws at the end. We all know every machine has so many issues we don't talk about.

@@TurtleLegoProductions That was actually a last minute decision. I was about to delete the failure folder full of, well, failures. But those failures are things that I needed to work around to make this thing work and thought viewers might get a kick out of.

@@LegoTechnicsRule I can tell you if I did that with my latest arcade game, most of the video would be failures XD

I did my best with the color scheme, but it could definitely use some more!

Dude this thing is incredible!! I love the way each of the mechanisms works and how unique they are. The ball dispenser into the plunger having the ramp lift up is genius and I really liked all the play features and design features like using the black pins on the edges to bounce the ball. Overall fantastic job and can’t wait to see future videos!!

I appreciate the kind words! The ball ramp lift was definitely one of the main attractions of this machine.

Bigger pinball machine = bigger battery!
@LegoTechnicsRule
@LegoTechnicsRule 11 месяцев назад
Indeed! 3 EV3 bricks would cost a lot of money to run on disposable batteries, especially for the amount of hours that I tested the machine.

Flawless build, though I may be biased towards the machine since it heavily utilizes my favorite color. The mechanism is fantastic, and the narration/ video quality seals the deal. One more thing I appreciate though it might not have been intentional is the clean design and coloring of the mechanism. Traditionally, random colors are used for the mechanism, with the idea being the customer doesn't see them. I'm not really sure where this idea came from (since we as the viewers do see them.) I really appreciate keeping the mechanism coloring clean and simple, as it really contributed towards an understanding of the mechanism. Overall amazing work.

I sure do love those warm colors, orange being my all time favorite! Speaking of colors, making each part of the mechanism more/less the same color really helps the viewer follow along easier. In my second bridge machine video, I gave each part of the mech it’s own designated color, received positive feedback from that, and you just helped confirm that it’s a good thing to do. Thanks for the positive feedback!

This is so cool!! I really like the pop bumpers! Did you experiment with different side boards before setting on the black pins? I’m definitely subscribing, thanks for the cool video!
@LegoTechnicsRule

Thanks! I actually accidentally discovered that the pins were bouncy. The hoop where the candy ramp leads to, I had it removed with the pin still in the board while I was testing death mode. While testing, the ball hit the pin and rebounded strongly. This was a last minute addition, but it definitely was worth it. I suppose I am putting the ‘pin’ back into pinball.

Three EV3s in one machine, haven't seen that yet xD But seriously, awesome work! Many unique and well executed mechanisms, combined in a massive machine.
@LegoTechnicsRule
@LegoTechnicsRule 11 месяцев назад
For a machine of that size, 3 EV3s are needed. It’s impossible for 2 to reach over the whole thing even with the XL cables. I only had 2, so I needed to borrow one from my brother’s school to complete this monstrosity. They want it back by next month and it is going to kill me to dismantle it. This is one of those machines that you just don’t ever wanna take apart lol. Thanks for the kind words! Oh, and also, welcome back!
@LCMMaster
@LCMMaster 11 месяцев назад
@@LegoTechnicsRule True, it's a shame there are no longer cables. I wonder if you can cut two XL cables and connect them together, to make a XXL cable. I know how painful it is to say goodbye to a machine like that, especially a fun arcade machine. But I always liked the fact, that by doing that, I had all these bricks to build a new machine.
@LegoTechnicsRule
@LegoTechnicsRule 11 месяцев назад
@@LCMMaster you can make your own long cables out of an old RJ12 phone cord. Just cut the tabs off and you’re good to go. Don’t make them too long or voltage will drop.

@@LegoTechnicsRule y’know, if you just need constant speed you could use an amalgamation of those MINDSTORMS to power functions adapters and power function extension cables to reach as far as you want.
