This might be my favorite social commentary calypso of all time. A mixture of great lyrics, reality and humor. And the song said "America will have a black president" when no one had even heard of Obama.
This calypso was composed by Winsford Devine possibly sometime during 1999 and was performed by Crazy at the Calypso Fiesta in T&T in early 2000 at the turn of the new century. At that time none of the predictions that Crazy made in the song were yet reality!
I remember listening to this live in Brooklyn on WLIB for Dimanche Gras 2000. One of the best years for Kaiso. Great Calypsos that year. THanks to Winsfor Devines for this contribution, and for "Dey doh like de Gov't"
Some of the predictions in the song were wishful thinking, some were included just for humour, but he was serious about many of the predictions he made, seven of which have already come through. Listen carefully and you will hear. This is Crazy at his very best. Great Calypso good punchlines, especially the last prediction. Lol.
@@gerardjoseph7198true, but information pertinent to the creation of nuclear bombs of an advanced type to be sold to the US Government could come from Trinidad and Tobago.
when was this song made ... i have heard it in the Caribbean for the first time a few days ago and it seems it's before Obama was elected ... brilliant song !

you wouldnt happen to have the long version of this song (where he talks about stuff like Jesus coming back and stuff), its like 20 minutes long or so...
still dont know how he didnt win the crown in 2000 when he sang this song and they dont like the government.. guess thats the reason he doesnt sing anymore
ruminni rogers But you initially said he stopped singing! If Crazy does a great calypso and folks think he has a good chance of finally winning the Calypso Monarch he will enter. There are other great Calypsonians like Crazy who never won a Calypso Monarch crown, he is not the only one..
