I'm 55 years old and started Shotokan in 1974 under Asano Sensei in the U.K. I've dabbled in other styles and martial arts and am passionate about Kata. I love the Shito-ryu and Goju kata especially and Assai -ha katas.i wish I had been able to study more styles as you have done. It's an absolute joy to see you travel with an open mind and great attitude. Loved the Okinawan series, best Karate document on RU-vid. More Kime to you! Ossu!

I was in dubai in 2006 and 2007, and it was not as popular as it is now. It was the first place I ever went snowboarding though! I was deployed with the US Navy, and some friends took me to the mall to snowboard. I love seeing martial arts tournaments, strongman competitions, and body building are becoming popular there! I may have to make a trip back as a civilian. I hope you enjoyed your time! Great job!

Yes please keep sharing the countries you visit along with your training thoughts before and after the Tournament. It helps to know so those of us with less experience (only 2 WKF Worlds 2016 & 2018...) know if what we are feeling is right. Note there are only Para Divisions in Worlds and PKF, not sure about other Continentals.

I agree Sir, traveling/exploring the country should be part of the Tournament. I usually arrive on Mondays to climitize and adjust to the time change. I usually leave on Tuesday or Wednesday after the Tournament.
