These drivers are insane,had a shouting match with one once because he was driving one handed at speed while using his mob.phone-always better if the driver is a bit older so might have kids and no death wish !btw local people dont much like the situation either but as one person said to me What can we do?Always take the train if at all possible. On a positive note you get to meet local people-once I sat next to a lady and asked her if she could drive,answer yes so I told her to hijack the bus at the next rest stop as the driver was a maniac,she thought this was hilarious saying it was impossible to be a woman bus driver in SL.
Pronounce it Mar-tarah, emphasis on the Mar. I have deep roots there. Hope you liked it, it’s so pretty, and the sea just stretches all the way to Antarctica. In heat like Sri Lanka has you do not want to be running around a whole town to find the right kind of shoes or a bunch of flowers. So it makes sense if everyone knows where to find a good choice before the sun gets too hot in the afternoons. Hope you are having a lovely time.
