@@justlearning6371 You know, the worst part for me is that Keith Sieracki is still such a nice guy, I've never heard him complain about losing his spot in the Olympics because of that BS.
I've never been a huge fan of Lindland, but now I've lost all respect for him. I detest bullies, and this story makes him out to be both a bully and an idiot. I'm going to go watch him vs Lawler and enjoy seeing the bully get KTFO.
Scott "Hands Of Steel" Smith, he was a union iron worker and competed on The Ultimate Fighter: The Comeback. Really tough guy, heavy handed, great chin in his prime.
@@Bradburn911 , No, he's not Roberto Duran. He explained his nickname on TUF: The Comeback. He said his nickname was "Hands Of Steel" because he was a union steel worker.
@@Day-ZDuke Yeah, he was really exciting to watch. Had some great comebacks, super durable guy. Yeah I think Chael has been watching too much old school wrestling with the "Scottie Too Hottie" plug in there. Lol
Everytime I listen to a story, I’m enjoying it so much that I’m disappointed the story is over. Imagine Chaels son, listening to Chaels bedtime stories. What a lucky little boy it is!
Ole Chael tells story as well as any old timer I've ever met, and that's a compliment, that's how these guys passed the time, no tv, 2 radio channels, just sit there and tell each other stories, true or not.
I remember a few years back I saw Matt The Law Lindland at a Walmart in Oregon, he was with his wife, but I felt an intimidating presensce I'm sure he's a nice guy hearing him on radio, but that day I was a little scared to even acknowledge him. This story is fitting for my experience.
I LOVE this Chael! I laughed out loud watching. I was a member of Team Quest in 2003 and 2004 and worked out there twice a week. I went to High School with Robert and became friends with Matt. Great memories. Lots of training with Chris Leben and Ed Herman as well. I look back on those days with nostalgia. I remember the whole Matt vs Jake rivalry as well! Lots of drama back then. Getting to roll with Bas and Duane Bang Ludwick was fantastic as well. Bas worked the heavy bag like an animal! Fierce.
@Qqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqqq1 depends on the category. There are about 500 categories and over 2 million books on Amazon. They tell you want categories your book is eligible for and what your sales numbers are. My book was eligible in 70 categories and hit #1 in 31 of them.
Ahh, the intangible pre tuf Gresham Quest days. I have Quest to thank for keeping me off the MEAN streets of Newberg Oregon during 05-07. Robert Follis and Willow would always hook me up with classes for good grades. All those guys there were genuinely awesome. Ryan Shultz, Ian Loveland, Ed Herman, Mike Dolce, Quarry, Randy, Hendo. Uncle Chael gotta see me pin his all-phase boys cause of Dolce and Shultz private lessons.
Lmao Scotty2Hotty. Scotty2Hotty was a prowrassler back in the day, loved his shtick in Too Cool with "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher and for a little while Rikishi . Scott Smith was Hands of Steel. Always remember his KO finish against Peanut Pete Sell. Still don't know if he played possum or not, but imo I think he was legit hurt but picked his punch amazingly
I love the lindland stories !you make him sound like he's oblivious to what most common folk see because he's such a Savage. I'm really curious about what he said surrounding tapping to Fedor twice
I was at the inter school grappling comp at between Quest, OJJ and a school from Seattle, I can't remember the name. In attendance and competing , Sonnen, Couture, Leben, Benji Radach and a bunch of other people. Very interesting comp, very interesting
That is an awesome story. I like the one about lindland always losing to this guy in wrestling, but when matt challenged him to a fight he backed down, and after always beat him in wrestling.
Good on Chael for acknowledging that was a bad situation , in boxing that is unforgivable , being the stronger fighter against a guest is a cheap shot .
Wasn't he called Scott "Hands of Stone" Smith?? He had that legendary moment vs Pete Sell, where he got hurt badly with a body shot, and he was in visible pain and was bent half way over and as Pete Sell rushed into to finish him, Scott caught him with a perfect shot to the jaw and knocked him out cold!!! If he didn't KO him he was gonna lose the fight for sure, he was all but dead from that body shot
I was a state wrestler in 94’ (Sprague under Haden), big deal, I know haha. I trained after for awhile with Matt and he worked me without using upper body... completely broke me. Just a fan now. I’m fine with it 😒
Probably wants to say sorry in person to make sure the guy gets it instead of, of didn't you see my RU-vid thing. He's telling us he owes the guy an apology and I'm sure he'll make it when it opportunity arises
Welp, we know Randy whooped Matt's ass. Back in 2002 when this happened: Randy: "Oh you're top Middleweight in the world?" *Sits 2 Heavyweight Belt on desk* "SIT DOWN!"
ill be honest, i think the apology is still owed, and the way shit got resolved at team Quest.......well thats pretty cool too. way easy to understand :)
Scottie too hottie..lol.. Holy shit that was funny. Scott Smith vs Pete Sell. If ya haven't seen it check it out. Pete Sell was a Serra/Longo fighter. My favorite Matt Lindland story was when he was on the matt stiff thanks to Robbie Lawler. Sorry Chael love team Quest except for Lindland.
