Mike Cotten found a 1972 Z600 Honda that's been sitting for decades. He closes the deal and we drag it out of a barn surrounded by goats and dogs. We take it to the local car wash and bring its true colors to life after all these years.
I wrecked out a Honda CRF1000 Africa Twin a year a ago in Australia. The 1000cc parallel twin with its 270 degree crank would work perfectly. They have that offbeat sound and can almost sound like a v8. Way more power and keep it a Honda twin but with 3 times the power 😊
At school in the late 60s in Australia, one of our teachers had one of them a Honda Z. One day at school us students picked the car up and turned it around 180deg then wrapped it up with toilet paper, we all ended up in detention again.
Hey, so glad I found you guys! If Emily and Aaron will give you a plug on their channel, you can get a good sized following pretty quickly! Can’t wait to see what y’all do with that pregnant roller skate.
I can only imagine the things you've seen and done in the car world, but I can't imagine how much guys like you and Mike sacrificed your family life being away so often. It's great to see there's still guys who get their priorities straight and commit to their family instead of walking away and leaving the wife to raise the kids (like my wife's deadbeat dad did.) I bet they're much happier to have you back home. Sorry for the deep post. Good luck!
Definitely gonna miss seeing you on Finnegan’s channel, but I’ve subscribed and definitely will be watching you here. Good luck Dave! I hope you’ll still be doing Faster with Finnegan so we can still see you 3 guys together!
In Japan, this would have been a kei car, but it was sold there (and in Europe) with a smaller engine. Back then, Kei car regulations limited it to 360CC while the US version go the 600cc big block engine. So, in Japan it would have been the Z360. Kei car regs would later increase to 550CC around 1985 or so and 660CC some time in the 90's. BTW, I read a road test of these cars about 20 years ago and remember them having a 0-60 time of around 27 seconds. Very few Kei class vehicles have ever been sold in the US market and most had larger engines. Others would include: The Subaru 360 and Subaru Sambar, the Suzuki Samurai, AKA Jimny ( not the Geo Metro as it was too long!) and Smart car, which used a Mitsubishi i drivetrain globally and was sold as a Kei in Japan with the smaller engine. Some Kei trucks were sold new here too, but strictly as campus maintenance vehicles and not for highway use.
Omg...hanging with Cotton! We have to talk about your life choices! 🤣🤣🤣 Seriously, when he says that it needs an ls swap...just say "no". Great project 👍
I hope your in the youtube game now. Although alot of us will miss the Newbern Frieburger stuff we all are happy to still be able to watch and see you and now your projects.
Where the hell did you find that!? There are Honda perverts out there that would prolly pay too much for it! Or, you could always tub it and throw a blown big-block in it.
I'm sure I heard you busa as in hyabusa😳can't wait to see it up done up, Will miss seeing you hanging with Mike but glad you are doing your own thing now much love from New Zealand
Love how you and Cotten get along - like a couple of my sons bickering but ultimately caring for each other and united in the common goal. Can't wait to see how this progresses.
Hayabusa or a Bandit 1250 engine would make that scream!!! Might even want a cage in that gokart!! Can't wait to see what you guys get up to and glad your going enjoy it with the family around. They're only young once!
It's an early Kei car. It's not a motorcycle motor, just a very small car engine. Kei cars are a compact vehicle rego class in Japan. There's quite a few fun little cars in that class.
The high school that I went to. One of the teachers had one of these. His other car was a M-37. Talk about polar opposites. This was back in Southern California in the mid-70's.
I have the sedan version of this car. It has a 589 cc engine. These were sold in Japan as a 360 cc version. The 4 speed shifter is mounted to the dash.
The 1st 2 generations of Honda Civics, the 1st 2 generations of Toyota Carollas were a hoot to drive. Owned one of each in the late 80's....2 spd automatic winding out in the Los Angeles mountains....getting passed by cyclists. Hahahaha
My dad had one, he bought in 1981 from a college student, it got 50+ mpg. He sold it to school teacher at my high school. My friends and got a flat once and two of us picked up rear end of car to get the tire off. Good times with the cvcc
you could send this video, about the fields of cars in the video you entered.i am also watching videos belonging to Casey Ladelle and his friend Ben and his humourous negative opposition to the reality,it works though.
The moment I saw this thing my first thought was 13B swap it lol. That thing is rad as hell! Came over from Mikes channel to drop a sub and put the notifications on, rock on!
If he needs a parts car, I’ve got one in the original 70s green that he can have if he comes and gets out of my yard in Arkansas. I have two other smaller cars that need my attention.
I was wanting to do a zinger style build with some old big and little cragars I have, a junk big block shoved in the engine bay for looks and a dummy blower and bird catcher sticking over the roof, then just run it off a golf cart drivetrain for shows
Back in the day there was a guy in my town that had one of these with injected 427 Ford in it. It had a clutch auto transmission and narrowed 9 inch rear axle. The engine sat with half of the injector stacks inside the windshield so you had to ware googles when riding in it because of the fuel mist.
DD speed shop x 100 thousand 🤘 to be honest, the moment I found out you had a channel I was here but Dan told us to rag on ya till you are there too 😎 more paint on the ground then the car 🤣
They DO NOT have a motorcycle motor in them. They have a small engine that honda used their knowledge of motorcycles to base it off of. Stop the false info that everybody keeps spreading. Even Jay Leno tried to say it and got schooled on his channel.
