What a brilliant showing. I'm normally not a fan of music during aircraft display but in this particular case it just captured the spirit of this plane so well. Such a happy aircraft, you can almost feel how it wants to be flown in those maneuvers, not sluggish, 100% in it's element. Phenomenal performance by outstanding machine indeed.
You can just see the pilot pushing the stick way fwd to dive at the runway. That was impressive to watch & no doubt heart stopping to experience finished with a finesse of flairs. Oh to be a pilot.
The best aircraft the US Army never bought. Modern glass cockpit, common engines with C-130J, wide fuselage for roll on/off vehicle transport, great range and payload for it's class. Glad it found a home in other countries.

I'm somewhere in this crowd (but away from the music and announcers because that shit annoys me). My wife wanted to see the transport that was going to be thrown around the sky like a fighter that I'd been telling her about. She loved every second of it's display!
@@maurop8684 That saddens me. That means the barrel roll Murdock pulled off in the C-130 against the Reaper drones was complete bullshit in the movie The A Team. Aside from that, all I could find were second hand anecdotal tales of, "my grandpa did..." or "I know someone that..." but no first hand info. But you're right, it still is an impressive plane!

The anecdotal stuff was just things I read of people saying someone else did it, but not having seen it done themselves. So someone was likely bullshitting them, lol. The C-130 can do back flips, but apparently no barrel rolls.
What a brilliant aircraft , My Dad saw a display some years ago like this , at the end it landed , ramp came down 8 soldiers ran out followed by a Landrover !! Wales UK.
It has all the capabilities I'd want in a military aircraft. Namely: a lavatory, comfy seats, panoramic windows, and someplace to put a coffee pot. Combat priorities, you understand.
Whats the deal with airshow music? Every airshow I have been to... loud horrible music, announcers that talk almost non-stop. So annoying! Turn the music down or off and shut the hell up so I can hear those beautiful aircraft.

I am with you there. If they are playing the type of music used in this demo throughout the show people are MORE likely to get bored if you ask me. The problem with music in public events is that you cannot easily choose music that won't annoy some people present; if you play rock, some people will hate it, if you play soul, different people will hate it. Best is to play no music unless the event NEEDS music, and an air-show does not.
Yes there is some envy from country which corrupted goverenment bought overprices CASAs with software problems which Airbus is not able to overcome for more then four years. Not mention Poland where CASAs already killed half of Air Force high command. :(

@@carlomarini4255 Forse lui si riferiva a paesi che rimpiangono di non aver acquistato l'aereo italiano, non solo perché si ritrovano con velivoli in partenza meno prestazionali e con problemi tecnici, ma anche perché (Polonia) hanno sofferto gravi perdite a causa di un incidente con CASA C-295, 23.1.2008 (anche se obiettivamente l'aereo centrava poco con l'accaduto).
Could this get into those mountain strips in PNG like the Caribou could . The Caribou’s recently retired will still be flying in 50 years time, Not being picky but this plane uses a lot more runway than the caribou.
@@alessandromazzini7026 Who said anything about weight. The Caribou’s amazing short field performance has saved many lives over the years . The planes were in great condition but no the Australian Air Force needed a new plane . These aircraft were picked up 2nd hand in the US & they certainly don’t have the short field performance of the Caribou. This smacks of a political decision again .
Why would they want to play loud music at an airshow. It's surely the sights "and sounds" people go for. And all those speakers will ruin an awful lot of images. Great display from the 22 though.
Same thoughts, i was annoyed on the day as music was very loud.. you can still ear the engine well, Is due to many parents bringing small child to airshows , and loud noise might upset them, so they just make it worse with loud music 🤦🏼♂️
Nice impressive display. . Pity about the shit music. If a wanted a pop concert i would attend one. . Air displays don't need music . Let the plane speak for itself.
The only thing that consistently sucks about Avalon are the goddamn commentators with the shitty backing music. Also, Danger Zone. Every. Fucking. Year.
@@surferkiter80 Not really, these pilots are from the Reparto Sperimentale Volo, 311 Gr. based at Pratica di Mare (Rome). They are test pilots which come from the tactical squadrons (F104s in the old days, Tornado, AMX and now the Eurofighter). In Pisa there's the 46 Brigata Aerea which flew the C130H and G222 in the past and now flys the C130J and C27 Spartan but that's a different story. The pilots are two (not one) plus a flight engineer and a load master.
MystikalDawn It shares the same engine/prop setup of the latest C-130J but is smaller and weighs 40% less, that’s why it basically can do any kind of flight pattern... tonneau, upside down, 360 loop, corkscrew up/down.... it’s like putting A-320 engines on a small Falcon private jet :-D Most interesting version is the MC-27J “Praetorian”....a gunship very similar to the AC-130J “Spectre” in concept but scaled down, instead of relying on firepower it relies on precision with a super-new Oto-Melara rapid fire 30mm or a 7.62 Gatling, both pallet-mounted for quick install/change. It’s nicknamed the “flying sniper” ;-)

It was just a joke, I'm tired of hearing the Spartan named "Baby Hercules" and I'm not interested in calling the C130 "fat": the previous G222 was born with an original configuration and independent from any other aircraft of the time. Later his upgrade was the C27J which, to have a greater hope of commercial success and a commonality of subsystems within the Western / NATO bloc, adopted the engines and part of the cockpit installed on the C130J. It remains an excellent tactical aircraft, capable of flying missions impossible for planes of greater weight and dimensions. And the Spartans were not babies.
@Michael Pullins You clearly have no idea on the subjetc :-) C-130J Hercules - At minimum load Take Off Distance (m): 985 (3230 feet) Landing Distance (m): 1524 (4984 feet) C-27J Spartan - Regardless of load Take Off Distance (m): 640 (2100 feet) Landing Distance (m): 690 (2264 feet) CJ-27 Spartan takes off and lands in 30% less space in any condition, C-130J at full load needs almost 2543 meters (8342 feet) to land, look up the specs online. C-27J basically lands anywhere even a small grass valley in high mountains, C-130J needs either a proper airport or at least a large flat grass/sand plane of around 3 square Km (3.229e+7 Square feet).
