Crazy Mud Race | COCR MX 3-30-14

A really bad mud race at COCR. Notice a flagger shows me how to pick up the bike, but then doesn't. Towards the end of the video i go down and i knew it was over for me, i was exhausted, and there was no way in hell i was gonna get that bike picked up again with 30+ extra pounds from mud. The race should've been canceled, but hey, racing is racing.

Dude whenever you’re riding in the mud like that, especially on a 2 stroke you’re gonna wanna stay in the powerband. When you start to let off and lose momentum 9/10 you’re going to crash. Stand up, lean back (keep weight off the front wheel) and keep her wide open. I won 250 A out there that day, was definitely the worse conditions I’d ever rode in.

Track horrible that day, but it was FUN! I think I was the only person who hucked the back table top that day. Good ride on the 125, keepin your momentum up is key in the mud on a smoker. And that kids a pussy I ended up winning open A and 25+A that day and that's the worst condition I've ever rode in

The red clay is pretty gnarly there when its wet isn't it? Was the ground frozen underneath that slope? Usually when it gets that wet it becomes a bottomless pit and sticks so bad your tires won't clean out?

jakemoto14 they day before this race was perfect... but it had froze over night and snow 4"... once it all thawed out it was over lol. Definitely one of my most memorable races in the 24 years I raced

in the netherlands the tracks in the winter are always like this lol riding could be better tho but we are used to the conditions and i think you guys in the us dont really ride in this conditions

1. The flag gets job is to be a flagger, he wasn't muddy did he want to get muddy? Hell no. Racer is already ready dirty, you needed help picking it up he showed you the best way therefore he helped you pick it up.
