As a religious person, I'm fucking sick of people like Steven Anderson in so many ways. I mean ... I'm not "devoted" but I believe with my heart in a lot of things (I don't need to shove them down your throat) but I also have common sense. So I can guarantee you that music don't kill people (neither do God) and enough with gay people... so they love each other, so what? I promise you, God does not care what you put into your holes, as long a you love yourself and others.

I'm a Christian and I was devastated by the tragic events in France. Just so everyone knows, this preacher doesn't speak for all of us. Not all Christians are like this guy.

I've just come from an Epica concert and Mark Jansen said to all us Metalheads that they were in France the day it happened. (I believe he said on the day, I could be wrong) and immediately everyone in the room shut up; then he asked us to give a moment of silence to the victims and their families. No one spoke. A room full of thousands of metal fans, all paid their respects. That preacher has no idea who we really are. I've met some of the nicest people ever at rock and metal concerts. Something that always amazes me is that full grown men would stand behind me and my best friend and protect us from Moshpits etc.

Wouldn't mind if Mr. Anderson suffered from police brutality.

As a Christian myself, I just want to say that so called "preachers" like this sicken me. For people who claims to preach the word of Christ they always seem to forget his most important lesson; "love thy neighbor". As a french person (yes, I'm late, and so?) I can tell you we don't accept adultery. Heck, even gay marriages still has opponents in our country (It was accepted around 2012). So, first things first: this cultist didn't do his research. Second, dare I say this man deserves death? Even as an agnostic, I feel like such men, for trying to lead men to hatred and destruction, should get at least a life sentence, or death in countries that still accept that. Speeches of hatred led us to the darkest moments of history (WWII, genocide in Rwanda, second Intifada...), and yet, people don't take the lesson: for peace to stay, none shall hate the other. The worst thing is that such a speech is included to the Bible (obviously, before they twisted it for masses control and hatred declarations): love your neighbor as much as you love yourself. As long as religious texts are twisted for the profit of others and to amplify the everlasting fire of hatred, religion will NEVER reach its original purpose: lead humanity to a future of peace and harmony, where one shall not fear the other. There is no way any of my Church pastors and ministers would say the things that guy has said. I am an Seventh Day Adventist and there is no blame given to the band or anyone who attended the concert. All our thoughts and prayers go out to the families affected. People have lost friends, sons, daughters, mothers and fathers through the attacks. May God rest their souls.

Jesus never told anyone to hate others, but either to forgive or help them. So considering these teachings, it's ironic that preachers would incite hatred and death upon others. When Paul went to Rome to preach the word of Christ, he told people to follow his teachings, but he never told them to go around burning people or criticizing them of what they believed in. It's depressing when so-called followers only preach what they think is favorable to them, and then disregard the teachings that they have trouble following.

My dad was in a rock band and a Christian. I remember him saying that his sister had a big problem with his rock music. So he turned up his amp and said, "Is it a sin at this frequency?" Then turned it up more and said, "How about this?" And kept doing that to prove his point. Maybe some metal bands have lyrics that we, as Christians, don't agree with. But a person isn't going to drop dead for listening to it and not all metal bands are bad.
