CRAZY REDNECK chases my girlfriend because I was flying my paramotor!!!

I like to be as transparent as I can on this channel, whether it's sharing my interactions with the township, police, or FAA. This whole situation definitely wasn't the highlight of my summer but I think there are some good lessons to share regardless. If your sitting in a park, and some random dude straps a fan to his back and hooks up to a parachute and takes off and starts flying how can you even think anything other than damn, thats the coolest thing I've seen all month.

i think jaclyn handled that pretty well. no freakout, kept her head, locked the truck and filmed the guy. tough chic.

That guy was probably the one who got that ordinance put in place, he probably spends all of his time sitting in that park hoping to “bust” somebody. What a sad life

This is just some advice from someone in law enforcement for anyone put in his girlfriend's position and should be shared with all your loved ones. Stopping for red lights is important, but if your safety is being threatened, and you can do so safely, stop, look around, and then drive through the light. Also, it's possible to use your phone to navigate to the nearest police station. Call ahead and let them know what the situation is and I'm sure they would be happy to meet you outside when you get there.

He was probably the reason that ordinance got put in place. Otherwise how did he know about it.... After being chased like that I would bring it to the councils attention and try and get it revoked or at least convince them to get signs posted. That was definitely harassment and never should of happened.

I'm a big guy and still get nervous when someone is chasing me down aggressively there's definitely some psycho's out their. Like when I was hauling gas with a 34-wheel semi truck loaded with 13,400 gallons of gas around metro Detroit. A guy was so mad that I slowed him down to 65mph in the slow lane he decided he would do the world a favor and try to ram my gas tanker with his newer Cadillac and blow us both up

Just a suggestion. Should it ever happen again have her drive directly to the nearest police station. Don't F around with being in parks alone etc etc. Call the cops, get them to tell you where the station is and have them meet you as you arrive.

Here in South Carolina, cutting someone off, then following them too closely, and then walking up to their vehicle and beating on the window is a good way to get a ride with the Coroner.

It sucks that you guys had a bad day. However, I was totally pulled into this video from a content perspective. Thinking about the original footage you had to work with, an intro, some distant balloon footage, and a dude outside the window, it's good but not great. Then you put together a beginning, a build, a climax, and a conclusion and it was AWESOME. You've become a great speaker, editor, and content creator. Nicely done.

Always going to be jealous folks out there. Always easier to try and ruin other people’s day because they have nothing going on and hate their life. What you guys do must be freaking amazing!

So sorry for that Tucker and Jaclynn. She should not have had to go through that. Unfortunately some people are so unhappy with their own lives, and so miserable with themselves they need to make sure everyone else is made as miserable as they are. I remember back in the early 90s up in good old/young North Pole Alaska, the ultra lights and airplanes that took off at all hours of the evening when the sun would set at 11pm . It was awesome to look and hear of Young and old pilots enjoying their time. Never did I hear a complaint from anyone. It was that freedom of being a Alaskan I guess???

You're such an inspiration to so many. Not only by your flying but your personality is very respectful and kind. You have a very mellow personality that resonates with people. I bought a very little used blackhawk talon 2 with electric start with a velocity core wing a month ago. I'm working in a SF bay area refinery job 6 days a week. I deliberately took nightshift starting next week to take lessons at blackhawk paramotors nearby. Wish me luck I'm really excited. Keep up the great work Tucker.

Caution: Do not chase Tucker's girlfriend with a pickup truck

You should attend a village meeting with the film of this dangerous irate man. Let them know the importance of putting up a sign for law-abiding people such as yourselves to prevent harassment from nuts like him. At the very least he would have done damage to your truck, and don't be comfortable thinking he's over it. You might end up having to get a restraining order and it wouldn't hurt to look up this guy's history online with court appearances. His overreaction is quite scary. BTW, just love watching these videos; you do a nice job.

That DB chasing her is actually a crime and you could follow up with the police and bring charges against him. If this asshole did this to a girl, it pretty much goes without saying he has done it before. And who knows what he has done in the past when you can see how aggressive he was being with Jaclyn.

First off....I love the shirt(s)! My friends and I have run into the same issues flying drones and FPV quads. As for the ordinances, most cities and towns change the laws, but don't update the signage. Your girlfriend did the right thing....document everything. It's often the case that the other side tells a different story. Keep flying and stay safe. Love the videos. We were just talking about your channel this past weekend as a matter of fact!

Judging from the reaction of that person, he's almost certainly the one that pestered the township into generating that ordinance. I say this because no rational person would do what he did. From one perspective, it looks like that ordinance was meant as a trap for you and other paramotor pilots. Both of you stay safe and God bless.

I don't think you did anything wrong. Even with the ordinance, you did your due diligence when you first started flying there and you had no reason to think anything had changed. Saying, "I should have checked every time I went there." Is about as reasonable as me saying, "I should check and make sure it's still legal to make left turns every time I drive." It gives the impression that this dude has been bitterly watching and/or hearing you fly from there for years letting it build into a full on grudge and he wanted to "get you" more than he had an actual legitimate grievance. Weird story. Weird dude.

I can't stress enough the importance of concealed carry. The police are a wonderful asset... But they can't magically appear the exact moment that you need them. Escape, avoidance, and de-escalation are most important but if none of that works you must have the means to defend yourself

Man this country is just getting more restrictive and taking the fun out of everything. That guy probably has a miserable life and just wanted to make yalls life just as miserable.

That happened to my wife once on the way home from work, where they followed her most of the way home. It is frightening. She told me when she got home and I freaked. I jumped in the car and drove the route, and it's a good thing I didn't find the car (had a license plate and make) because I'm not sure what would have happened. I told her if that ever happens again, and they try to block her get by them and away any way you can, including taking an open door right off the side of the car. This was before cell phones were even DREAMED of. The whole ordinance without posting is BS. Sounds like maybe they intended to just warn people away as they flew there, or try to harass PPG pilots for 'grins'. If you look at what it takes to put an ordnance like that in place, posting it is practically a no-op by comparison. It would be pretty much the same as not posting a 'no U turn' at a specific intersection and then ticketing people for doing it. Most of the people 'governing' are idiots, and it shows more and more with each successive year.

Holy crap! That was crazy!!! Even as a 6' 2" man, I get scared when someone starts to aggressively follow me 😳 I can imagine how she was feeling... One thing I must say that I really love admit you, Tucker, is your humility! You're not afraid to admit when you're wrong which really amplifies your position when you insist that you're right. The sound of a paramotor might be annoying at a park but is it any worse than the lawnmowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, etc... that they use to maintain the park?

Tucker, I just found your channel and I barely knew anything about the sport. I remember when I was younger there was a man who had a tandem and a landing strip in his backyard. I would watch him fly and wish I could meet him and take a ride. That never happened. I joined the military, a tornado destroyed half of the neighborhood and he was gone. I have benge watched your videos this afternoon and I am convinced I need this in my life. I have a new goal. Thank you for that.

While she was driving around, she should have called 911 and drawn in the cops. His conduct is a criminal assault, for which he should have been arrested on the spot. The video clearly shows his conduct, so hands behind the back, cuffs, and no, we don''t give a crap if someone makes off with your toy truck. Going back to the local council to seek cancellation of the ordinance would be a good idea, presenting the video and the guy's arrest record to show that this seems to be a one man ordinance of no value.

Props for giving the full story and not colouring it in your favour. Guy was a nutjob and I think your girlfriend did the right thing! But it's good that you're taking it as a learning experience to check for ordinances a little more regularly. Glad everyone made it through the encounter safely--though it must have been terrifying for her!

I recommend driving directly to the police or sheriff's station, if you know where it is--certainly at least a very public place with many people. Then stop, not before. Whether the guy was legally entitled to be a karen or not, what he did borders on the criminal, at least.

Very scary situation indeed and use this as learning experience. She is in a park, by herself. She needs to have a contingency plan when her red flags start to pop up. #1 Situational awareness. If something does not seem right, go on ready alert. #2 Put distance between you and the threat. #3 Call 911 and if being followed go straight to the Police Station and start honking the horn. My wife was carjacked in Houston and had a gun put up to her head, this is exactly what she did, locked the car, escaped and drove to the police station. Luckily, we are in Texas, within a few days she was carrying a Smith and Wesson Lady Smith 38 Special. Go job by both you guys.

Used to fly microlights back in the day and I heard a few stories about angry landowners taking pot shots at people with shotguns. Fortunately 1000 feet is enough to stay out of range. This was 20 odd years back. A 2 stroke Rotax is pretty annoying on a Sunday morning but even so...

Never stop for a motorist who is chasing you. Call 911 immediately and document the event with your hands free. Yield, don't stop, at stop signs where you can see that there is no traffic coming either way. Don't stop if you can be reasonably sure of yours and the public's safety. Better to get a ticket than a bullet. Drive to the most public area you can. If you think it is safe to stop, do NOT pull into a parking space. Never give them time to get out of their vehicle or pull up beside you. It takes only one second for them to pull up a gun and shoot. Fear is there to save your life, so though you keep your senses, do not let yourself be complacent. Be reasonably afraid and be safe.
