Ahron Ulis (Iowa commit) and Marian Catholic are the top-rated private school HS basketball team in the Chicago area. They were 3-0 coming into their much-hyped showdown with undefeated #1 Bloom (also located in Chicago Heights). The teams met at soldout Marian Catholic in the championship game of the 2019 Chicago Heights Classic (to open the season).
Marian was leading after 3 quarters before the Bloom Township Trojans caught fire! Keshawn Williams (Tulsa) scored 3 times in a row. Martice Mitchell (Minnesota) was blocking shots. PG Dante Maddox JR (Cal State Fullerton) showed off his athleticism. And Swaggy C Christian Shumate did it all! He finished with a triple-double! 28 points, 11 rebounds, 10 blocks for Bloom's 6'6 unsigned senior.
