The song is from the DEATH CERTIFICATE album which just about every song on there is masterful. It displayed not only CUBE's story-telling but his lyrics, this is a hood poet!

This song still needs a visual. It's basically a movie based on real life events. This song, Jus Lyke Compton by Dj Quik, and the early 90s HBO series "Bangin' in Little Rock," were three cultural events, well before it was widely known, that LA gangs were branching out around the country.

You that is the best description I didn't think of. A Documentary. This joint teaches how it pretty much happened in St. Louis. I remember when I found out that there were Crips and Bloods in St. Louis. So what Cube did here is give us how it may have happened not just in St. Louis, but every other city that never had that life.

Ice Cube - True to the Game. You should just listen to the whole album. This is off the Death Certificate album, which also has No Vaseline on it as well as this song. A top 5-10 greatest hip hop album of all time.

Ahmad, even if it's not on your channel, you need to check out Ice Cube's "A bird in the Hand" and "The Product". Some of Cube's best work in my opinion, if you're looking for story telling with a message.
