He's our centre-half, He's our number four, Watch him defend, And we watch him score, He'll pass the ball, Calm as you like, He's Virgil van Dijk, He's Virgil van Dijk Perfect song on VVD What a bargain he has been for us.....
The amount of players that get the injury he did and come back and never be the same but he's come back and his speed, passing, aerial duels are perfect what a player
He is the difference between the Liverpool of last season and Liverpool of this season but unluckily he didn't get nominated for PL player of the season.
I agree 👍 You'd think people would appreciate his contribution to this season even more considering he recovered from a career threatening injury. And when you compare liverpool to the season before, we only just scraped champions league football. To go on the season after and challenge every trophy to the end is incredible in my opinion. Best defender to ever play in the Premier league 💯🏆🔥🖕
He has been phenomenal in this season. Who will tell that he had an injury in the last year ? The pace ,the aerial duels, the covering, the man marking, the blocking ,the strength etc. In each and every departments he is just blowing his opponents 🙂♥️ .He is my role model because I am also. Defender.
After the injury he has gotten wiser. In order to extend his career he needs to have different tools, like the reading of the game in order to survive.
It's funny that some call him out on 'doing nothing' in some situations. It looks bad when it doesn't work out and you also need to put trust in your teammates (if your read the game well), but doing nothing is also harder because of this. It is Van Dijk's strengt to wait for the opportune time to act, and sometimes doing 'nothing' except positioning, reading, coaching and waiting.
This guy literally change the definition of defender. Calm under pressure. You can put ramos in those situation and its quite obvious he will generate so much red cards.
@@mdl7380 1. He commit himself to a man leaving pockets of spaces behind him that is covered by Robertson a very underrated Lb 2. Loses out to players who shield the ball very well 3. Doesn't know when to put in a tackle and doesn't know when to hold poor decision making in that sense
@@psych6049 hahaha stop already, his positioning makes him the best in the world. Just because he doesn’t tackle doesn’t mean he can’t defend dummy. Look at what maldini said
