Mark Johnston guitar+effects = my therapy, just what I needed tonight. Bout to kick back and watch this one - thank you for the effort that goes into these amazing videos!
Absolutely lovely, Mark! Thank you so much for all you do! Would love to see you do a deep dive on the Volante on your board. I'd give anything to see you put it through it's paces. Huge gratitude for everything you do!
Best vibrato on a delay has always been an old big box DMM. And as nice as this Crazy Tubes sounds - a really nice demo, thank you - it still is by some margin. Close second is a Skreddy Echo.
I actually think I prefer the sound of the full wet vibrato sound over the more mild chorusing in the repeats, which up til now I haven’t preferred in any delay I’ve ever heard
Why do you use Input 1 and Output 2 on the Neunaber Immerse? Is there any difference between just running out of Output 1 since there is no stereo input?
Hey Mark, I discovered your channel a few days ago and I became an addict. That being said, I don't know if you talked about it yet but have you ever tried the eventide timefactor? As a delay or as a looper?
I have no. I had the eventide rose for a bit. An absolute marvel of an analog delay that I shouldn’t have parted with. The eventide big box series seems pretty excellent
@@markjohnstonofficial thanks for the reply, I mentioned it because it keeps that sort of lo-fi old delay grit you talked about in the video, with a bit depth control in some modes, I wish it was smaller though.
CBA Thermae is the best analog delay ever made. For something more affordable I recommend the Caroline Kilobyte/Megabyte. It's analog voiced digital but it's a modern classic in the analog delay realm.
Just look for one with an effects loop and put flanger and/or chorus in it. Put reverb and an octave pedal and get shimmery delays. I think the one of the versions of Jam Delay Llama has one.
@@CorbCorbin I actually have the thermae but can’t seem to dial in chorus repeats. I was considering what you said, finding an analog pedal with loop effects in it and adding my chase bliss in its repeats. I wasn’t aware jam pedals have one with loop effects in it
@@markjohnstonofficial thank you sir. I do have a thermae but can’t dial in chorus repeats. Is their a setting you recommend to add chorus repeats? I asked cba themselves but they basically said you couldn’t dial that in. Thanks again!
