Those talking shit about the driving obviously have never driven a car with that much power. and in response to Mr. 2013 Mustang 5.0: the 350z is much much much lighter. Your dad might be rockin the 5.0 but when you add all the weight that a "stang" brings... The 350z would devastate it... especially this SUPERCHARGED Z.
Finally someone who know's how to drive and can do the z justice. Upload a new video with the new tires please. Again impressive driving. Btw what all have you done to the car performence wise clealry nowhere near stock.
one more thing this is called a centrifugal supercharger. they are shaped like turbos but are infact superchargers because they are not driven by exhuast gases but rather driven from the belt connected directly to the crankshaft
Right what the actual fuck. This guy is handling the tires breaking loose like its nothing. People have no idea what its like to handle a car with that much power.
Yeah they definetly are different classes. I liked having a Vtec, when I passed 5k rpm, "RAWWWWWWWWMMM" But with the speed I have in a Z, I dont miss it much, because when you put your foot into it, it will fly compared to a DC5. But if its looks your going for, and dont care about performance its personal taste. I actually went for looks for the Z because I always liked them, and its performance just sucked me in. Love it for both aspects, but its whatever YOU think looks best.
for a 350z how can u not like this video? the 11 people who disaprove this video probly only did it because they're all about some other car. if this car had any more power without a suspension upgrade this car would have too much power. let alone with that amount of power your average driver would wreck it on the first drag race.nice video man.
Personally I owned a DC5 before my current car. Right now I own a 350z, and Ill tell you, it performs ALOT better. Cant even compare the 2 in performance. Personally I like the looks of both cars but I always had a thing for Z's, so depends what your going to want more, looks/performance. If its looks get what you think looks best, if its performance the Z hands down.
yeah im no mechanic so i wouldnt know what would be the best option to stop the car slipping from the power the only other thing i can think of is adding a 4 wheel drive system to the car then the power would be equally distributed to all 4 wheels so that might work
yeah that would be a good idea but because we cant see the outside of his car in this vid we dont know exactly what tyres hes using 1 idea i thought of is to use less grippy tyres as if he is using road legal slicks they are very grippy and would cause a lot of wheel spin but then the downside to using less grippy tyres is less control on the road or race track
any normal engine, yes, but to supercharge it you need to upgrade camshafts and cam pistons which can take the abuse. you start with the wheels spinning and shift right at redline, then it'll bog down around 2k-3k rpm vs bouncing for a short time and only going down 1k rpm. if he had traction however, he wouldnt need to bounce it at the redline. the car can easily take this abuse and be fine because of the upgraded internals
Fun looking Z. Coming from an AWD background I would want more traction personally but this looks like something I would do!!! And to the person below who said its a turbo z and he doesn't know what he is talking about... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Its a centrifugal charger, not all superchargers look like twinscrew/roots kits like stillen offers for this car....... Just cuz it looks like a turbo also doesn't mean it acts like one... Due to the drive type a centrifugal makes more power as rpm's climb period, making the most amount of airflow at redline.. This is def a set up for straight lines... the stillen style charger would probably be best for traction in this car on these roads.
I was considering getting one for my next car but you know when you like a cars performance and you want it for that but its just not you because you dont really like how it looks, thats me with the 350z. Think im gonna get a Integra DC5. Great car you got there hehe.
Man U R AWESOME! i have a 350z '09 and its stock, saving money for turbo and shit. I share feelings man, how many HP u got there? stock comes with 306 hp, and its already a beast! sorry of my english! congrats man i love ure car
Your exhaust on your 350z sounds amazing from just the inside! God i'd love to hear it from the outside! I have a 2004 350z in Daytona blue metallic, what is the exhaust setup in your Z? I was thinking of either going with the full Borla or Stillen exhaust system, but what is yours??!!
Somebody doesn't know what boost is. Just because your moms econobox sounds like it should be put out of its misery past 3k rpm, doesn't mean a supercharged and reinforced sport engine does as well. Also, it's obvious you've never driven anything with more than 200 hp if you don't know what breaking traction is like.
they would grip the road too much when you tried to accelerate because if the rubber is really sticky and grippy its gonna cause more wheel spin where as if you use a harder compound tyre you should get less wheel spin but im just guessing here i am no expert LOL
HP is always fun but in most cases we tune down to have control and traction to make it useful. You got the power now improve the footprint. Breaking traction won’t win pinks
no it isnt it is supercharged. 1. there is no trace of turbo lagg 2. you hear no turbo, blow off or wastegate noise. 3. u always can tell the difference between turbo and superchaged engines by just listening.
sick Z.. do you still have the stock suspension and lsd on it because it looked like you had a really hard time controlling it lol.. how much HP is it putting out?
I still kinda don't get the whole 'bouncing off the redline' thing. Wouldn't that ruin the engine? I'm a new owner of a 350Z but don't really care much about mods and it's one of the most powerful cars I've driven.. lol
Not really. My 350z does pretty well in rain. Dry it has excellent handling. Only time I have ever had problems in rain is on bald tires. Snow, regardless of if I have good tires or not is just a nightmare. Nothing but spinning and sliding.
Good setup but just awful power for the 350z. Needs a bit of tune with better tire pressure. Stepping on the gas fully is not always a great way to understand its power. A car with no traction is pointless. Reminds me of the pointless Rx7's with ls1's.
Not really, torque has nothing to do with steering, it's a problem with the rear suspension not keeping it straight under heavy accel. Needs some upgrades out back...
the car would not act like that if the vdc was on, i mean im sure its fun off but with it on it will not allow spin and it will try its hardest to keep the rear from rotating. for example you couldnt cut a cookie in the rain with the control on!! but looks hella fun tho idk about testing on that narrow ass winding road lol
jeremy clarkson would say so much crap about your car dude the reason being you have a bad case of torque steer every time you accellerate the car steers itself which is not a good thing according to clarkson lol
