Can I just say that I LOVE that you speak fast!!! There are so many knitting podcasts that are doubling as mindfulness podcasts. They go “Hiiiiiii!” And then 5 minute pause. “Weeeeeeellcoooooome” And then you can go and put the kettle on. Sometimes I double the speed of the podcast. But most of the time I just stay clear of them. And to all the people that thinks it’s to fast - there is a setting to change the speed. And bonus - the episode will get even longer that way.

I always look forward to your podcast episodes! What about a small button on the inside of the wrap sweater? Then there would be no added bulk from an inside tie. The decrease edge looks fantastic…as much as it pains me to say it, I think bottom up is the way to go here if that’s what it takes to get that edge! I’m excited to see how this pattern works up!

For the wedding sweater, you can also make a small loop on the outside seam to pass the belt through if you like to wrap it around before tying it. I hope that makes sense 😊

Trying to explain to knitting friends who aren’t cricket fans and cricket fans who aren’t knitters that cricket is the perfect sport to watch as a knitter has been the bane of my existence this summer (as an Aussie) 😂 currently churning out the sleeves of a stick season sweater in cascade 220 while watching the Aussie women play South Africa 💛💚

Good morning ReBecca! Bravo!!!!! I'm so glad you chose a bright happy color to use for your plain raglan sweater! If you think about it, when we look at a beautiful english country flower garden, where are your eyes drawn to? Its the bright pops of bright colored flowers! Same with the violet/pink bright plain sweater! As for the fit, it looks great with a bit extra ease!!!!! All in all I think your sweater is a huge win, thanks for sharing. I would knit it. I love seeing stitch definition in the neutrals but I confess I get tired of neutrals(grays and beiges). I like color in my closet. Thats why jeans are so essential, they go with any color - sweater, scarf, hat or shawl. an utter riot of color is what floats my boat!!!!! Knitting hugs, Carrie from Northern San Francisco Bay Area 😘❤🐶🐑🌹☕☔🧵🪡🧶

Well, THAT is your color…Orchid!! And the blue…color of your hat, with that ??color of your sweater is gorgeous! I often hear knitters say how you talk so fast…..and, it always makes me laugh! I’m originally from the Boston area and here is my story. I was a substitute teacher in Washington State. While reading a story, one of the students asked if I was taking classes with his mother. No, I wasn’t, and I had just met him that morning. I asked him why that came to mind……….he responded: because every couple of words, you’re speaking a foreign language! All the way home that day, I repeated….I parked my car in Harvard yard. When I’m very tired or have had a drink or two, people tend to whip around to see where the sound came from…..I just say, Oh, my accent must have surfaced! When we visited my siblings in the Boston area, my children would ask me to interpret what they were saying. All over the world, we speak our own ‘language’ with all the accompanying nuances. I’ll listen any day of the week and love it every time!❤

I also don’t like the Double Sunday from Sandnes Garn… I find it plasticky too (it gets better after wear and washes) and also got twice knots in my skeins which is kinda shocking when you see the price of the yarn… For your weekend hat, it actually does look better with a double brim, it’s very fluffy and I made 6 already for presents and for myself too haha! I love that you’re branching out to brighter colors! I still have to learn this, I’m a sucker for natural basic colors 🫣🫣

LisaR: There's another solution :) I tried last podcast .I just put the playback speed to 75 % & it was perfect .. My mom's best friend in the 70s was From Scotland - It took a summer of listening to acclimate , to what seemed so speedy to me . After time passed , her relatives visited & I thought they must think we speak at snails pace ! ❤ It's not easy to change your natural speech pattern - but very easy to press the play back speed . The quality was great at 75% ..win /win ❤

I'm so curious to see what the wrap will look like! I also have a number of wrap dresses with a hole like that at the back and I don't really like it that much. By the way, if you're afraid of the bulk of a bow on the inside, you can always make an after-thought buttonhole and place a small button on the inside. You will lose the adjustability of the dress, but it is an option ☺

I've been curious about the stack of out-of-focus boardgames in your mirror for the entire hour! Also, another idea for the wrap cardigan: you could consider adding a small button&loop or snaps on the inside instead of ties to reduce bulk even further, if you were so inclined.

the trouble is ( if this is indeed trouble :-)))))) that you are excited about everything. It's your second name - Rebecca So Excited Clow hahahahahahahaha! I know now to just change the settings to 75 percent speed and that sorts it out because it's very hard to change your speaking habits and to keep on track when you are so excited about everything. I think a fun excercise would be to count how many you use in a podcast. I LOVE the podcast and your knitting progress. In the week of 'what I knit in a week' I thought it should have been what i EAT in a week or what I watch in a week. I'm ready to cast on the tolsta tee. I thought my yarn was 8 ply and it knitted up as a 10 ply so I'm bummed but I do have a good stash so I'll just choose something else. keep on keeping on. xx

I'm sure someone will have already said this but you could call the Tolsta Tank the Holsta!! For the halter version atleast... For the navy lace cardigan it would be gorgeous in a silk or a silk linen blend so it had a bit of sheen and drape to it. For the wrap if you really wanted a slit for the tie at the end couldn't you you do some magic using the idea of an afterthought heel in a sock, but make a tiny edge to fold to the inside? Could be too bulky, you could maybe just use the mohair?? In the cricket you should go for the Kiwi's given your connection!!!!! I'm Australian and my husband is English so the Kiwi's are my second team just so England aren't 😉 Love the podcast as always!!

I don't know if anyone suggested it already but for your wrap cardigan : instead of a tie to knot on the inside, you could sew a button at the side and have a tiny loop to fasten it on the edge and avoid bulk for this side ? And still have a tie for the outside fastening. Not sure if I'm explaining this clearly 😅

Hey. I from the Pacific Northwest USA and that's where Cascade yarn is from. I know Cascade yarn is famous for elongating and growing after blocking. I have a friend and she knitted her husband a sweater, he's 6'8" the sleeves alone grew 8+ inches and about 10" in length, so don't be hard on yourself, it's a common problem with their yarn.😮

For the inside tie of the wrap cardigan you could also get some really dainty ribbon in a coordinating colour for even less bulk! Also for the back neck, I recently did something similar and I ended up picking up stitches along the cast off edge and knitting my edging together with the picked up stitches like you would do with an applied double knit button band

OMG wrap sleeve length flexibility makes a lot more sense for Brissy. I was initially worried cos April further south is a lot more hit and miss and was imagining you in Victoria or Tasmania shivering in short sleeves... Have a glorious trip (and get lots of merino & possum yarns :D)

Congrats on that beautiful Technically Tolsta! Looks great and fun. PS I’m really over the big oversized “cozy” fit, I much prefer the slightly smaller way you fit this sweater for yourself.

For the wrap cardigan you could use a popper or two on the inside to avoid any bulky 😊

I just discovered Sheep Soft at my LYS a few weeks ago. I am enamored with it. So good! ❤

I’m with you, I’d love to be on a jury, but I’m a former lawyer and so far, I’ve never made it. 🤷🏼‍♀️
