I realise this is an old video but it does make a nice change for someone to show the exact process for the basic maintenance of one of these machines . So many of the other 3d printer channels seem to ignore this aspect, which the people new to 3d printing need even if it's just to reassure them that they are doing it correctly. Thank You

Thank you!! And I completely agree that this is the type of stuff that gets overlooked, or skimmed over. That's why I decided to make some of them. If there is anything else that you'd like to see covered, just let me know and I'll be happy to create a video for you.

I just found your channel. I actually just got a good deal on a Halot Lite. May I ask how happy you are with yours?
@HomemadeJam3D

Oh I love it! The Halot Lite is an awesome printer. It's one of those printers that will just print. What I mean by that, is, no matter what resin or model I've thrown at it, the thing just prints. And it prints well! If you have any questions or need help with anything, just hit me up and I'll be happy to help out in any way I can. Welcome to the Halot family and thanks for watching! 😀

I can't find the FEP sheets for the Halot Lite anywhere, where did you find them? Thanks
@HomemadeJam3D
@HomemadeJam3D Год назад
The Halot Lite is shipped with an extra FEP. Have you already used that? If so, you do not have to use an OEM FEP unless you're just wanting to do that. Amazon has plenty of FEP that is larger than the vat and that's all you need. The FEP for the Photon M3 will be plenty large enough for you to use as a replacement. I hope that helps 🙂
@lonestarmelting9728
@lonestarmelting9728 Год назад
@@HomemadeJam3D I haven't used the extra OEM yet. I wanted to stock up on them. I contacted Mach 5, they don't have them for the Lite yet but said they will be releasing them soon. They recommended substituting with the Voxelab Proxima 8.9 for now. I'll give it a shot
@HomemadeJam3D
@HomemadeJam3D Год назад
@@lonestarmelting9728 yes, any FEP will work as long as it's big enough to fit the vat. FEP isn't machine specific. 😊

Oh shit..... there was a another sheet! I installed it without removing it but it seems to not affect anything
@HomemadeJam3D
@HomemadeJam3D Год назад
Lol I've done that before. If you know whether it was the inside or the outside, that'll be a big help. If it's the inside, you run the risk of it pulling loose with the suction from the print raising, but if it's on the outside, you're probably fine or could possibly get it loose to pull off. 😊
@fallu6224

@@HomemadeJam3D Yeah it doesn't seem to have affected anything yet so I'm not too worried about it

Did this and resin leaked :( what did I do wrong
@HomemadeJam3D
@HomemadeJam3D 6 месяцев назад
I'm sorry for the late reply, but my guess would be that the double sided tape lost it's stickiness. Most people have that as the issue for leaks after a fep change.

fep halot lite dimensions are 140x200?
@HomemadeJam3D
@HomemadeJam3D 2 года назад
I'm not sure about the FEP dimensions but the build area is 192x120x200. It's an 8.9" 4k screen. I hope that answered your question. 😊 Thank you for watching!

Jamie, do you know where I can get the hole template for the halot lite?
@HomemadeJam3D
@HomemadeJam3D Год назад
Tom, if you don't have your old FEP, I wouldn't use a template. You should be able to just put the FEP on and tighten it down. I honestly don't know if using the template even makes a difference. 😊 Let me know if I can help with anything else.

@@HomemadeJam3D Thanks this worked just making a hole with an awl at the holes. I am trying to use syratech tru blue casting resin. Any experience with that? Doing it with the halot lite. Any good ideas on resin settings?
@HomemadeJam3D
@HomemadeJam3D Год назад
@@tomfredericks1393 hey there! I'm glad it worked for you! I don't have any Siraya Tech resin experience at all but from my experience with the Halot Lite, any resin I've used (and there's been many brands) I've just used the printer parameters when I start my prints and it's printed fantastically!! That's the amazing thing about the Halot Lite, I can throw any resin in it and it just prints. And prints well!! I just always use the printer parameters instead of the slicer parameters.
@tomfredericks1393

@@HomemadeJam3D the biggest thing that is different for this is it's wax based. So the initial layers have to be really long. I think longer than the halot lite printer settings allow.
@HomemadeJam3D
@HomemadeJam3D Год назад
@@tomfredericks1393 hmm, I've never had any good luck with wax based resin. You must be a jewler 🙂 I am an admin in the Facebook Halot Lite owners group and also a beta tester for the Halot firmware and Halot Box. I can ask my other admins and the Creality tech guys we work with if any of them have had any good luck with the wax based resin and get back to you.

my halot one tank was leaking so i put a new fep sheet on and it still leaks the screws are tight i didnt want to over tight the screws to much

You may have a gasket that isn't working right. Did you make sure the gasket was back down into the groove?
@HomemadeJam3D
@HomemadeJam3D 2 года назад
And you're right, you don't want to over tighten the screws, but you do want them pretty tight. It bent my allen wrench when I first broke them loose.
