Oh my goodness! Thank you so much! I grew up in Grand Rapids, MI and our favorite Chinese buffet place always had this, but when I moved to another states I couldn’t find it anywhere! No one even knew what I was talking about. The recipes I came across online had the sauce but not the whole breaded and creamed. Thanks so much for breaking this down! Do you use canned coconut cream or coconut milk bc when your pouring it in the bowl you say coconut cream but in the intro you show coconut milk. This looks delicious btw I'm going to save this video and try it soon!
@@cookingwithclaire8156 Yeah, I tried that for my second batch. I still couldn't taste it. Maybe the brand of coconut milk I got was watered down. It tastes good on its own, but if its supposed to have a strong flavor, it doesn't. Before I bought it, I accidently bought coconut cream. I might try it in my next batch. I'd never bought the fry you recommend before now though and I love it. So thanks for that!
