Thank you for the recipe 😄 I prepared it for dinner yesterday and every one loved it😄. I used a bit of turmeric for colour since I didn’t have spice for rice. Love this recipe👍🏽
Thank you for this video,I recently moved out of my parents house so I stay alone and I really wanted to cook samp with beef stew today but I didn't know how till I saw your vid
Hey Pat, lovely video, thanks! I’m in the uk and through SA shops all we can get is Iwisa No.1 samp. I find the kernels very small and broken - I really miss the bigger samp. Can you suggest a brand of samp that’s a big kernel and if possible, no GMO. Doesn’t bother me too much, but my girlfriend is a little freaked out about it. Subbed! Cheers R
Hey! Thank you so much for watching. I would honestly be lying to you if i told you that i know much about other brands especially ones who don't modify the genetics of organisms. Even the ones labelled free from genetic modification can't really be vouched for. I have only been sold to the Ace brand samp. The one i used in this video is a 30 minutes samp so you already know what that means looool. I will ask around and respond should i find something useful. Thanks again!
@@patriciathabilenyathi81 Thanks for your reply Trish! (that's what I call my sister who's name is also Patricia) :) Ah, 30 minute samp, well I guess that's already pre-soaked. The No.1 I'm using has to be soaked overnight and washed. So, I made two meals out of it, one for my GF (vegan) and with roasted vegetables, roasted garlic, tomato and Tamarind it was a lovely hearty and body warming meal (yep, we're deep in a cold autumn) and then the other batch I made was for my daughter and I which was samp and beans with chakalaka and boerewors. A taste of home! Thanks again for the reply, stay well sis and I'll be catching up on your other videos. Ciao!
Hey Lee, thanks for watching. I will as soon as I get someone to eat it for me 😂😂 I don't eat it but I'd love to cook it for anyone who loves it. I will ask my colleagues.
