Fabulous! Thanks for this. Fancy helping me with information on how best to design sofa models? We need them for my work and I can then train up my apprentice! Any advice would be great. Thank you
awesome video. keep up the great work. quick question how can make changes to stl files? Using the free version and I'm trying to extrude out to make cut and its not working. Any help is appreciated thanks
Thanks, Luis. I appreciate your support! Unfortunately, with Shapr3D, most of the modeling tools are locked when working with STL files. You’ll only be able to perform Booleans (Union, Intersect, Subtract) and basic operations like Move, Rotate, Mirror, or Scale. Depending on your object, you may find it better to reverse-engineer (rebuild it) in Shapr3D. You can reference the imported STL, which is often helpful. They have a pretty good demo that includes some of those techniques - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ffb_5I5_tFk.html
There are no line weight options at the moment. You can do some marks - intersection and center marks, but that's about it. The drawing environment is still relatively new, so I would expect more of these things to come.
One issue I’m having is…how do you make a second “sheet’. I don’t really want to send my client multiple pdf files, rather a long one with multiple sheets to look at different components. Can’t find an answer anywhere.
As of now, you have to create another Drawing from the button/icon in the Drawings tab. Hopefully, in the future they will offer a way to add pages to the existing drawing. You would need to save them both as PDFs then merge the PDFs with Adobe Acrobat, Apple Preview, or similar.
@@PDOShapr3d this is exactly what I did. It seems a bit silly because they even number the “sheet”. Surely they will update this as time goes by. Thanks 🙏
hi, can someone help me? is there an automatic cut list or something like that? for example, when a large kitchen is drawn, it automatically throws out a cutting list like in solid works.
There is no way to do an automatic cut list in Shapr3D, currently anyway. You could export your file as a STEP and generate one in Fusion 360 or Solidworks.
